And it was not Lane that found Chambliss. Lane very rarely puts any energy into actually recruiting, and he certainly doesn't pour through film trying to find talent.

He's been hitting the trail pretty hard in Louisiana, no complaints so far.

Did chambliss shut your offense down? Cause you scored 17 points when you adjust for the short field Chambliss gave you after throwing a pick on his own 20 yard line. Pretty sure Pete’s D that he is 100% responsible for shut down Lane’s offense that he hand picked with a blank check.
So much stupidity in one post that I do not think I’ll be able to address all of it.
We actually spent way more on defense than offense. The majority of the money we spent on offense went to 3 players and 1 of those was injured at the end of the game. Another didn’t get to play all spring and most of summer and another was a freak athlete but raw project.
Offenses also usually don’t perform as well on the road and that environment was rocking. Drive sheet was great for us in the second half after making adjustments that ole Petey boy had no answers for.
Y’all’s offense has won yall most of your games this year. If it weren’t for what LK and staff built over there then yall would have at least 2 more losses.

If it weren't for the team that Brian Kelly built, LSU would probably only have 1 win this year. (see how this works?)

Does LSU typically struggle to sign the top players in the state? 75% whiff rate on in state 5 stars is wild considering he went there for “recruiting advantages”.

Cmon man, you know that’s a stupid comparison. A better one would be what Les did with Saban’s players and systems. Looking back the 2007 natty was definitely not because of Les’ genius.
OM
Is clearly winning because of their offense and despite their defense. Any objective observer would admit that.
I’m not saying OM is gonna drop off a cliff next year. I think the BK/Freeman effect could occur where OM ends up getting way more buy-in because LK left and Golding is able to ride out the success that LK built from a program perspective.
Say what you want about LK but he’s one of the best evaluators and developers of talent in the coaching world, especially when it comes to QB. Qb is by far the most important position in CFB right now and it’s understandable to think there will be a drop off for y’all when you go from best QB in football to whatever y’all get next year.
Will be interesting to see just how far that drop off will be given it will be Golding and staffs first time having to completely overhaul the offense.

Pardon me, I didn't realize it was already NSD.

Brian Kelly built that defense they brag about. Those are Brian Kelly’s players.

Who leads the SEC in touchdowns scored and passing yards.
That guy blows.

Impressive stats. He must be undefeated.

Except they only returned a handful of starters.

You say that now. Were your saying it last year and the year before?
He was obviously the head of your program. Every program uses staff to scour the landscape looking for talent. But evaluating what they find falls on the HC. It's not some sort of free for all where everyone on a staff has autonomy for making personnel decisions.
Try leaving the newly found personal dislike out of it, for a moment. No serious person is going to claim Kiffin is merely a buffoon who hasn't gotten better in his coaching career. If that were true, the fight to keep him last year would have looked pretty foolish, right?
He managed to bring Ole Miss to where it hasn't been in 60+ years. Can Pete Golding keep them there? Perhaps he can. I like the guy; he seems to bring real enthusiasm to the game. But the answer to the previous question remains to be seen......

Not how it works. Brian Kelly built the team. Your best players are there because Brian Kelly recruited them and developed them. Whit weeks, DJ Pickett, PJ Woodland, Davhon Keys, Tamarcus Cooley, Jase Thomas, and Dom McKinley are all Brian Kelly guys. So is Treydez Green.
You have like 4 contributors who are Kiffin players.

Oh sorry I forgot lsu is content with paying a shitty QB $5M to “compete with” Kentucky or whatever the new cope is in swamptard land.

The fact that you think BK did any recruiting is hilarious and shows how little you know.

These aren’t our best guys, or even close lol. The coaches who recruited our best guys are still on staff.

A number of those aren't even starters.

No, last year and year before, Pickle_Weasel was insisting that Lane wasn't leaving and definitely would've move his family to "Baton F'ing Rouge", in his words.

Nope, wrong again.
LSU is ok with letting a coach build a program to succeed because we’ve seen it happen again and again and again. I’ve witness 3 nattys and some of the best teams in CFB in my fandom life. It’s been really really really good to be an LSU fan since early 2000s. We have full faith in the coach who turned a mediocre program like OM into a competitive group to take a far superior program like LSU to success. We are over here excited about the future. How are you feeling about your program?
