Good work. Only two issues.
1. Can’t see ABC giving up 24 million eyeballs by not having LSU/Bama every year.
2. Missouri/ Texas A/ M instead of A&M LSU? Similar scenario as above.

See Bama/ LSU/ Auburn/ Tennessee
See Texas A&M/ LSU/ Texas / Mississippi State

Yeah, that may happen, but who are the perms for Mizzou, OU and SC?

A&M permanent opponents should be Texass, LSU and Arkie.

So it is written, so shall it be.

Having to play both Auburn and Alabama would not be fair to Miss State.

And I say that as an Auburn fan.

Wouldn't A&M have more history with Arkansas than Oklahoma? Missouri is the real head scratcher. We've played the Aggies more times than Missouri has played them. And LSU has played the Aggies more times than OU and Missouri have played them.

therein lies the problem..
who gets stuck with Mizzou?

1. Oklahoma
2. ?
3. ?

Putting in a team or two from SEC East would make the most sense because they've been playing each other since 2012.

I think perms need geographical proximity while of course taking traditional tv ratings under consideration.

I think Missouri / Arkansas-border war
/ Tennessee - day drive for students to Knoxville and would be very good intra sectional rivalry.
/ Kentucky. - again day drive for students and both are border states - think would make good rivalry.

OU needs Arky, Ols Miss, Texas

Just my 2 cents

Great post and I like the logic personally.

However, I really think NCAAF is sadly going to become more about money than tradition…So historical games played might become irrelevant unless truly a rivalry. Also, games played was highly correlated to geography back in the day which might be the opposite now.

TV markets will continue to become bigger and bigger drivers of matchups.

I could easily see LSU getting Ole Miss (100% happening), UF & Aggies. That is a big time game for Texas and Florida’s large TV markets automatically pre-wired.

Pigs could easily sub in too. No chance OU will be a permanent.

Sadly I think the annual bama matchups are ending…funny how I love that game, yet it almost always ruined my season since 1/9/2011 and until Burrow/CEH gave gave us redemption/salvation

Tennessee
Georgia
LSU
Kentucky
Auburn

But who knows..I just want the Auburn, Georgia, and LSU
