So play for LSU for 4 years, earn enough in Alabama games to buy a dinner at Red Lobster.

All your silly jokes don’t make sense considering each player gets $500 minimum.

Players can use their money to buy a number of items including:
- cooling fans
- gatorpower drinks
- sun screen lotion
- etc.

Skyscreamer - this is a legitimate topic with legitimate ideas.

Plz don’t let your insecurity turn this into an Alabana vs LSU poo throwing match.

Thanks!

We can give them a canteen where they make those purchases directly from the University. Keep them in their dorm rooms and only let them out for University sanctioned events.

If the schools pay them; then there is a title IX issue. You gonna pay everyone else as well?

Sure, base it on the national revenue for that sport.

You can't do it by school - that would make some schools more attractive destinations than others.

If college football is bringing in (random numbers) one billion dollars - while lacrosse is bringing in fifty million - then those athletes should get more.

Base it on facts.

The CEO for Apple makes more than a CEO for a small business - why? Apple is more valuable. That is how the world works.

I don't know what clike means.

Maybe a third edit will help me understand.

How about they enjoy being state-wide celebrities, being treated like royalty, getting the best nutrition, the best medical care, the best facilities to relax in, and an opportunity that 98% of people will never get?

Instead of having to be paid for it. Their college is already paid for, what more do you need ?

Add in the opportunity to obtain an undergrad & graduate degree in any field they choose ALL paid for with zero student loans to repay.

This will be the end of college sports. Your introducing the absolute worst factor anyone could imagine into the system and some of you can't make it happen fast enough. Good grief. Oh well. I'll give it a while, then enjoy some more free Saturday time.

How many players on Alabana’s football team would be at Alabana based on their high school education?

Here’s an idea: a pot split between the two teams based on tickets sales and TV revenue, winner take all.

For an example, Alabama versus LSU is generally a sold out game with high TV ratings. For the last 8 matchups, the Alabama players would have split the lucrative pot and the LSU players would have gone home with nothing.

Might make a few more Louisiana prospects leave the state.

Admins & coaches to take a paycut to under 100k per year so they don't feel like they're getting fricked.
