Explains a lot for us.
Shockingly low for LSU. That program should recruit itself to top-10 status every year with the crowd it draws.

Mainly because of 2015 (which may have been a small class or something, not sure). Their other 3 classes are 7, 16, 2.

Lol Serrano was just hilarious. Recruited well and couldn’t even make it to Hoover

Baseball isn't like other sports.
You can sign all the best players but you are left with nothing after the MLB draft.
You have to either keep the players from signing contracts or you have to get the players who haven't fully developed.
Baseball Recruiting rankings don't really mean much

This is why I’m understanding of Alabama being garbage right now. Gaspard and especially Goff nearly killed the program with their recruiting and playing 4 CWS teams exposes it quick.

What's this list like compared to the actual ranking in a given year before players get drafted. Trying to see if certain schools (like us) are recruiting too good of players that the coach should be able to see ahead of time that a player is going pro.
Recruiting too high of a player is just as bad as recruiting to lie of a player.

Kudos to the top college baseball coaches. Getting these kids to school is hard coupled with the fact you have to split scholarships between the haves and the have notes. Tough gig.

You don't get the point.
The players that become stars in college baseball are often the undrafted players who developed late.
The rankings will rank them low.
You have to mix being able to talk the stars from playing in the minors and also to find the players who will eventually become draft picks.

Hill, the good news might be that college baseball is becoming more developmental with better parks and just as much upside long term. Less shite in college than some a team.

You have a weird point

Civil, I think the horn is more right than not.

You are not keeping many high end players from signing MLB contracts.
The rest of the players may end up being great but for the most part the players who develop into high end draft picks out of college are the ones picked after the 35th round or the ones not drafted at all.

The point is this ranking is the recruiting rank of the actual kids on rosters. Kids signed who never step on campus aren't included so the list actually correlates to the teams roster and should be able to be compared to actual performance.
