Percent of game time with at least a 1 point lead in 2018
1. Alabama: 78.7%
2. Georgia: 73.9%
3. LSU: 66.5%
4. Missouri: 59.6%
5. Auburn: 58.8%
6. Mississippi St: 58.4%
7. Texas A&M: 54.1%
8. Kentucky: 52.4%
9. Florida: 50.9%
10. Vanderbilt: 45.1%
11. South Carolina: 43.4%
12. Tennessee: 36.2%
13. Ole Miss: 34.9%
14. Arkansas: 27.1%

*Obviously OT games do not count towards this since there is no running game clock.

- Entering the SEC championship, Alabama led for 648 of its 720 minutes of game time. That equates to 90.0% of game time with a lead. Over their final 3 games, they led just 33.6% of game time.

-In Arkansas' 3 games against Group of 5 schools (North Texas, Colorado State, and Tulsa) they led under half of the time (47.8%).

Doesn't seem like that includes the Sugar Bowl.

I can think of 1 game that renders about 30 mins of their lead time irrelevant.

Happened the year before, too.

You're bragging about paying your coach less than a coach he lost to. There is no doubt that you are the worst poster on this site

He'll get a real pay raise when he beats Bama.

These idiots are interested in who's ahead for the most minutes, NOT who's ahead at the end of the game! Guess what! Coaches are paid on the latter number!

Hey, you fricking redneck, check this out:

Final Rankings for SEC:

2. Bama-78.7%
6. LSU-66.5%
7. UF-50.9%
7. UGA-73.9%
12. UK-52.4%
16. A&M-54.1%

Yall are 1st either way so why are you melting?

It shows to me LSU/UGA/Bama fell right in line where you would expect them to be ranked based on minutes led

UF leading for only 50% of minutes but finishing ranked 7th shows that season hinged alot on some fortunate circumstances likely

I'm not melting dumbfrick! I'm laughing at y'all playing up such a stupid stat. Any fool would realize that if you win the most games, you're gonna probably lead for the most time in them, AND what's so ridiculous is...what difference does it make?

But this shows that was not the case, and there is a clear outlier, making this data relevant to show how certain teams seasons hinged far more on 1 bounce of the ball than other teams

Interesting quasi-related stat:
quote:

Alabama and Georgia have played for 120 minutes of regulation in the last two seasons. Georgia has led or been tied for 118:56 of that time and is 0-2.

Are the numbers correct or is there a reason Auburn is below State and AM?
