So the neurologist would falsify his evaluation why? I mean, come on…

Is third party neurologist chosen by nfl? Could be the league wanted the Tua-Burrow matchup for ratings. If that’s the case Goodell should be gone and possibly held criminally liable. That was just brutal to watch.

Tua was evaluated by a THIRD PARTY medical officer and cleared to play.

That was a terribly vicious hit and a nasty outcome but the Dolphins aren’t liable for a player getting hurt playing football.

Don't give a damn who or what 3rd party cleared him. It's the choice of the club to play him or not.

I watched the video of him Sunday, and no way he should have EVER been back on that field that day. Period. All of his body language showed he was no capable.

This is be a launch into a whole new rule, as it should be. If you hit your head and can not walk after wards, you are done.

This is 100% on the shoulders of Miami.

Yeah, none of that is going to happen.

The fact that people think a independent neurologist would risk his license and possibly jail time so that a guy could step on the football field when he was concussed is fricking wild.

Doctors are human.

If you are Tua’s neuro, you know he wants to play. You explain the risks. You also understand that being too conservative can end this man’s NFL career.

It has to be a very difficult judgement call for the doc. What is “best” for this patient?

3rd party ain't getting paid if 3rd party's diagnosis don't fall in line.

The guy isn’t there to explain risks or ask Tua if he wants to play or not.

He’s there to evaluate for concussion indicators and he either has them or he doesn’t. It’s black and white

Damn straight. Not all Drs are good. Not all are even competent. I know and have seen many!

That guy was out on his feet. He should have never been back on that field that day nor this week.

The first damn one was him NOT being able to WALK after hitting his head! What the hell is wrong with you?

Hell, Goodell should be gone for things less brutal than that. But something like you just explained would definitely be grounds for prosecution

It’s happened before, many many many many many times at the NFL, college, and high school level over the years. Guys used to play with concussions all of the time.

There’s bad folks in all walks of life and the medical profession is certainly not exempt. Especially involving a multi billion dollar business like the NFL

He’s there to care for a patient.

Very little is black and white.

Wild how so many players enter concussion protocol every year if that’s the case.

But let’s just say that the NFL is pressuring these doctors…

Ok, then I don’t work for you. I’m a filthy fricking rich neurologist either way.

Yeah, they used to.

now they don’t play unless they are cleared by a third party evaluator

Why would this guy lie? Why?

I’m a filthy rich neurologist already. I have two homes, a Mercedes Benz and a smoking hot blonde half my age that fits my balls in her mouth. I’m risking that why?

OR, do you think it’s more likely that last weeks injury LOOKED like something it wasn’t and a freak injury happened to follow it the next week playing a game that produces multiple injuries every time it’s played?
