People can slam the Dolphins, but

Tua was evaluated by a THIRD PARTY medical officer and cleared to play.
That was a terribly vicious hit and a nasty outcome but the Dolphins aren’t liable for a player getting hurt playing football.

He was by all accounts fine after halftime both in-game and in the postgame interviews
I’m not so sure there was any malicious or reckless intent by the Dolphins

They literally have no control over it. The team doctors do not administer the concussion evaluation nor do they decide if a guy can play or not.
He was cleared.
He was cleared.

Shhhh! I am not done reading all of the professional medical opinions resulting in the criminalization of the Dolphins in the previous threads.

We still don't know anything about this injury- everyone should reserve judgement until that comes out. Tonight's injury looked very different from any concussion I've seen.
There's room to argue about whether he should've been playing at all tonight, but I'm not ready to blame the injury on the Dolphins/NFL at this point.

But why? What happened last week had zero to do with what happened this week.

The defender wasn’t even flagged on the play. I don’t even think he’s going to be fined for the tackle. He could have tried to roll off Tua when he went to the ground. But this injury was a precursor from last week’s game and Tua clearing this sham of a protocol. And Tua himself said he felt fine. But I don’t think the medical staff did enough for Tua. Especially after his hit from last week. They could have made the decision to rest him for a few weeks but it’s a Win first league. What happens when you don’t have the guy anymore? Not gonna win much without him.

So you expect the dolphins to disagree with the evaluation of an actual neurologist and say “nah, I don’t care what the brain doctor said. You have a concussion and can’t play”?

Depends on who picks the neurologist.

So the neurologist would falsify his evaluation why?
I mean, come on…

No way he is fined or suspended. It wasn't malicious at all. Aldon smith threatened to blow up an airport and the nfl was gonna let him play.

This one is different, kind of bc it’s the head region. But didn’t RG3’s career at Washington end bc they forced him to play in game, and the ACL finally gave out. Didn’t KD rupture his Achilles bc he was forced to play on it.
I agree if he was cleared, he was cleared. Was there pressure to clear and play him to win? Probably not, but it probably feels like it for Bama fans. It’s a natural reaction to place blame.

And how the hell do you know that these tests were on the up and up? I don’t put anything past the NFL or these teams. Come on man. The league admitted a few years ago the covering up of prescription pain pill abuse by former players, they admitted to omitting head trauma in medical evaluations. It’s not a stretch to see that they can “find” independent doctors to pencil whip what they wanna see

That’s not quite it.
The neuro who doesn’t clear the marginal players stops getting the calls. The one who does gets more calls.
It’s not a conspiracy. It’s just human nature.
