Lamar Jackson, Robert Griffin III, Tim Tebow, Ricky Williams, Bo Jackson, George Rogers, Jim Plunkett, Ernie Davis, Paul Hornung all won the Heisman on teams with 3 losses. In fact, 11 players have.
Do you know why? Because the Heisman is an INDIVIDUAL award.
I watched Pennix 3 times this season. The dude has a cannon. But he's not the player than Daniels is. Washington won that conference championship game because their RB took over the game. Pennix looked average at times and even threw a bad INT. Dude was shook for part of that game.

No it doesn't depend on your criteria or mine. It doesn't depend on what you or I think. The criteria is that the trophy is awarded to the most outstanding player for the given year. It's on the Heisman website. Nowhere does it mention team accomplishments.
So going by the Heisman committee's stated criteria, there is no argument that Daniels was the most outstanding player this year.
Hell, he's the most outstanding Heisman finalist in the last 52 years! The dude is a human first down and scoring machine.

I've liked Penix since last year. Really good QB. Any of the 3 would be deserving but I think Daniels will win it b/c he was the most outstanding player.
