He was an outdoorsman here in MS who had a radio show called "Listen to the Eagle". I don't know what he has to do with the SEC, but his don Paul Ott Carruth, Jr played FB for Bama and then the Packets in the 80's. His other son, Bert I think, played at Ole Miss in the early 90's.

RIP I remember listening to Listen to the Eagle as a Kid. Mr. Carruth is a Pike Co MS legend

Shook Paul Ott Carruth Jrs hand after the Senior bowl in the mid 80's. This hits close to home.
