This was posted on another board that I won't mention. Someone please give this guy a job or a life.

When Paul Finebaum came to the SEC Network with his show I heard many say that he has a bias towards Alabama and even Tennessee. I had never heard his show and had no opinion since he wasn't carried in Arkansas. I was surprised by the hire and thought maybe Tim Brando would have been a better choice and after you see my research you will probably think the same. I started listening/watching Paul Finebaums show everyday since August 29th. Every time a fan of a school was put on the air, a guest was brought on to talk about a certain school, or Paul himself talked about a school at length I would write in a mark by each schools name and at the end of the show I would input the numbers into an excel spreadsheet. I stopped my research Friday of signing day week. The leading school was Alabama with 43% of my marks. Second place was Auburn with 29%. Third was Tennessee with 14%. The rest of the SEC was 14%.

As a variable I had me and two friends call the show everyday during the research period to talk about Arkansas. Of the three of us calling everyday two of us got on the show once each. PM if you would like to see the spread sheet. Thanks!

I'd actually enjoy one with Tim Brando.
Would take trolls about 7 hours to get him to say something fireable. Thinnest skinned baby backed bitch on the planet.

Why the hell is a radio show airing on TV? I would hope SEC Network could find something better to show other than some shitty arse radio show.

Wow, so a guy that worked in Alabama for 30 years talks more about Alabama schools than the rest? Amazing research..

That show is horrible.

What a huge waste of time. I guess living in Arkansas people have time to kill

I would like to see another host than Finebaum for a four hour show. He is terrible. I do agree, the show is mainly about Alabama football.

well most on air personalities started one place or the other yet they eventually move on as does their news/info, etc. so, he's not just covering alabama now- maybe since you know that now you can pass it on to him.

proves what we already knew, SEC Network wastes money on a "gump show".
Incidentally I agree that Brando would have made a far better choice, (unless you're a gump of course), and at some point the figs running Disney/ESPN will have to get their shite together and fix this stupid crap.

I really don't mind Finebaum, I just find the culture surrounding the show sad and wish they'd focus on more of the whole conference. Or just an additional show that will have some more A&M/LSU/Arkansas stuff.

Well you have the top team in the SEC, the previous season's champ, and a stable of callers that have been part of the show for years. But I guess he could have spent more time on the 0fer SEC Hogs, sure.. I'll get this thread right over to him.

Finebaum made his name by trolling Bama & AU fans. It gave him huge ratings. ESPN saw those numbers and wanted that format for the SEC Network where he was brought on to fill time and get viewers in the offseason.
Considering he really knows nothing beyond the politics of college football and his best skill is stirring the pot of Alabama fans, is it really a surprise what the focus of his show is?
BTW, I agree that the SEC Network should find something else to fill that slot. Finebaum is not good for the league. He'll inflate the hype of the SEC and then he'll be the first one dancing on it's grave when things head south.

How could he watch that much Finebaum and not perform a lobotomy on himself???

great research, Sherlock.
During this time period did you bother to consider that Alabama was likely the highest ranked SEC school and that perhaps, based on their success in recent years, they made for a more relevant topic than, say, Kentucky or Vandy?
Did you consider that AU was the defending SEC champs who spent a large portion of the season in the top 5 and, thus, they were also very relevent in comparison to, say, Arkansas?
Can't explain the Tennessee thing. Makes no sense for them to have been discussed.
