Some Big Ten intel, via multiple sources: League has advised members it still might not play this fall. Decision on whether to start camp on time will be made in next five days, but with testing protocols in place that is the expectation. Schedule release is TBD, fluid situation.

I think the real possibility of not playing this year exists for every conference and team.

If any conference is likely to play it’s the SEC.

I don’t know, the optics of that would be terrible, and remember it’s the school administrators that make the ultimate decisions, not the conference.

Rutgers has 15 positive cases on their team and the entire team is in a two-week quarantine. Combine that with a couple of governors who might likely shut t down in their states. If the B1G doesn't play, no one should be surprised.

School administrators make the ultimate decisions, but state governors have veto power over those decisions.

Pat Forde jerks off to the thought of the virus destroying any opportunity for football (and freedom) this fall.

I used to love reading the Forde Yard Dash.

It was a good weekly column about college football that was a fun read.

But about ten years ago he became absolutely insufferable.

Andrew Cuomo, Gretchen Whitmer, Tim Walz, and J.B. Pritzger don't give a shite about the B1G brand.

I don't know that the optics would be as bad as you think they would be. The kids want to play. The fans want them to play. The coaches, administrations, economies and tv channels want them to play. The only people who don't want them to play are the loudmouth media who don't represent any legitimate sense of reality.

Invite OSU and Nebraska to play SEC football for this season only. OSU in East and Nebraska in West.

Well New York is in no position to start football and tbh, B1G football is second fiddle to pro sports in the majority of its own footprint.

He certainly wishes. And it will be Donald Trump's fault.

Cuomo has absolutely nothing to say about the big ten conference or any of its teams.
