This gets old. But I'll go through it again, just in the vain attempt that maybe this time it'll sink in.

The NFL has 32 teams. What do you call the worst team ? The 32nd best team on the planet. And it really is on the planet. Whomever places 32nd, if money was on the line, would mop the college national champion. Pull them through their own ring, as Ric Flair once told Jerry Lawler.

So make this super-conference some of you dream of. Ohio State, Michigan, Alabama, Georgia, Hell - put in whomever you want. Make it eight or sixteen or who cares.

The team at the bottom of that list will see their value go to zero. Because somebody has to lose, and very few people buy the gear and tickets to go see a team lose just because they are the worst of a super-league.

To have a viable, stable, functional league - you need teams at the top, teams at the middle, and teams at the bottom. With some expectation of changing status. Teams at the bottom have to have hope. Teams at the top have to have fear. If not ? Then it's just pro wrestling.
