Is Ole Miss vs. Memphis considered a rivalry? What about Tennessee vs. Memphis?

ULL has scored 1 TD against LSU and 25 points total in those 22 meetings. Their last touchdown against LSU was in 1924. The average score is 45-1

statistics that make ULL's made up rivalry with us even more confusing.

From a Memphis fan perspective; not with TN because we dont play them a lot in football. Basketball you could say yes. Ole Miss series is weird. They have the overall wins edge by a mile but we seem to beat them at times that are very inconvenient for them. The last 4 game series we had with them we went 2-2, both teams winning their home games.

Sure. There is only 60 or so miles between the schools and a lot of Ole Miss folks live in Greater Memphis. It's especially a big deal from the Memphis perspective.

Two of Ole Miss's three best teams this century have been beaten by Memphis

Tennessee - Tennessee-Chattanooga (43)

I'm surprised we've played UTC that many times tbh but since UT is a system school we're playing ourselves so the money exchange makes sense. Why pay someone else when we can pay ourselves?
