You don't understand why he couldn't make throws? Do you understand football AT ALL?

Because LSU's pass defense is terrible.

Perhaps at was the plan. seemed to work fine at your house. Now give me your lunch money

I can agree with that... Against crappier teams we get away with it, but when we rush 4 or 5 and drop into zone we don't match up particularly well with routes out of the backfield (accounts for most of those TR all-purpose yards). I'm pretty sure that's kind of a no-cover rally to make the tackle type scheme but tackling Richardson in the open field is no easy task. That would be my one pet peeve with this team, but I agree it is getting nitpicky...

Doesn't matter. Even great corners can't cover for an extended period of time. It's just the way it is. That's why great QBs make plays when they have all day in the pocket.

The RBs could be better in pass protection, though they've come a long way from the start of the year.

I think that LSU's RBs and TEs could be a touch more involved in the passing game.

The LBs still get a bit lost in Zone with the crossing routes.

That's three extremely nit-picky things, but there just isn't a glaring weakness now that Minter and the rest of the LBs have really stepped up their play in the last few weeks.

Other than that they are pretty solid and balanced.

So why did both AJ and Wilson continually curl up in the fetal position vs LSU's pass rush

We knew he couldn't beat us so there was no reason to blitz and open the possibility of a fluke big play. They decided to cover, he threw one pick and got away with one or two others that could have been picked.

If Richardson doesn't run for 130+ on Jan 9th you will lose again. I'm not really concerned with Smelley torching the defense regularly and you don't have any WRs that can consistently get open against our DBs.

If he had all day like AJ? Yes. I'm not discounting how good the LSU secondary is. If a great QB has 5 seconds to throw, a receiver will eventually get free.

A great play making QB wasn't something that Bama had last time they had their asses handed to them and it won't be this time again.

Besides ,considering Miles' dominating record at LSU ,preparing for and winning Bowl games (almost any game after a break)it would be to Saban's benefit to lobby for another bowl and then whine about not being given a second chance.

The lber's would've been my first inclination, but minter has really made the unit very solid and above average. Dude is everywhere.

Hey, I couldve started one about bama's weaknesses.

Don't bring up stats from Nov 5 since that game never happened.

LSU could possibly face only one good Bowl team this year that would test it's weakness(if any) and that is Bama and hence my statement about the QB.
