I'd say he is under-rated the way Alabama fans act towards him despite putting up good numbers constantly and being a big factor in the passing game.
He has been a major factor in the passing game, which is why I said his rushing yards. He jumps people and had this huge buzz but he has rushed for 100 yards in what? 1 of 4 games so far(I think). This thread is about overhyped and he was hyped up a lot because his amazing athletic ability. So far it hasn't really shown in his rushing yards like it does when Tua gets him the ball in space. I suspect run blocking is why.

Tyler Shelvin and Siaki Ika.
Two five star DTs who ate themselves out of significant playing time.
Damn shame, IMO.
You couldn't be more wrong about Shelvin. He's been fantastic this season and has been the anchor of the dline. He has 15 tackles and two passes defended from the nose tackle position this season.
Ika has been injured so you're wrong there as well

He was for a while. He was out of shape. But he’s starting to become a force up front. He demands a double team.
Isn't he a 3rd year player? He's just now starting to put things together?
Yikes.

Ika was viewed as a backup coming in to the year by most - which is where’s he’s at - so I can’t say he was overhyped.
Well, that is not true:
Siaki "Apu" Ika possible starter at NT? He was the first freshman mentioned by Coach Eaux
Apu Ika is the real deal, guys
Lavalais, Dorsey, Ika
Ika's athleticism reminds me of Lavalais and/or Dorsey.
Siaki Ika - There's so much hype around other freshman like Emery & Mr. Stingley Jr but i feel like this dude is going to be an animal.
Did CEO just name Apu Ika the starting NT?
Hmmm.

how’s sopsher been playing though?
Poor kid still can't find a helmet big enough for his head.
Unfortunately, he was on the Shelvin Ika diet his Senior year of high school.
Nobody expected him to start for Alabama though. This, I can promise you.

Since you're going to pick an injured player as overhyped I guess I will too

You’re obsessing over LSU
Just name someone from your own team retard.
Although you seem to be an authority on LSU players.

Kellen Mond, mostly because Jimbo set us up with his raves about him. But he still may surprise me.
Underhyped: How do you underhype the Ray Guy winner from last year? I dunno, but Braden Mann isn't getting enough love. WE GOT THE PUNTER, YOU frickNUTS! ALL YOUR PUNTS BELONG TO US. Punter U!!!!

Well, that is not true:
I do enjoy that you spent time looking up those threads - but as I said - most expected him to be a backup behind Shelvin.
Shelvin was hyped as a recruit - but then many (including me) thought he was done at LSU. So I’d say he was under hyped for where he is now
The fact that you’re not stating a case for Lewis tells me that you agree...

Do you really want to go down this road?
You do know I've run the Alabama recruiting thread for 7 of the last 8 years, right?
You can't be this stupid.

After clicking your threads - most of that is typical talk of an incoming freshmen.
Here’s an interesting one from... four days ago...
Terrell Lewis - I just don't think he lives up to the hype and I don't think he will moving forward.
Sooo....

But, the expectations for him by Bama fans is that he should be a Derrick Thomas-esque player and those guys are once a century type of talents. Yeah, once a century.

He’s been underwhelming

He has done nothing but stay banged up. Not knocking him, but he has not proved anything other than an inability to stay healthy.
I would absolutely love for him to produce this year, but I'm at the point where my expectations are low...
