I'll give it to you Vols, you'll cling to what little resemblance of a program you have left. Honest question: Do any of you honestly believe you'll make a bowl this season?
If we make bowl you sport Eric Berry 4 Heisman avatar until Opening Day '10, we don't make a bowl I go with Norwood avatar. Sounds fair, if you're so confident about our team.

What talent?
Outside of Berry and McCoy, what do you return?
You still don't have a quarterback and you might have to start a true freshman at running back. Face it, if Kiffin doesn't get run off before then (still don't see why y'all don't just tell that frat boy to stfu and get out of knoxville), y'all won't be serious contenders in the SEC until at least 2011.

Our Defense was #1 in the conference last season and lost:
DE Robert Ayers
DT DeMonte Bolden
OLB Nevin McKenzie
OLB Ellix Wilson
CB DeAngelo Willingham
Only 1 of these players (Ayers) was drafted. Bryce Brown and Oku should improve the offense. Shoot, the upgrade in coaching alone should help.
We have W. Kent, UCLA, Ohio, Auburn, South Carolina, Memphis, Vanderilt, Kentucky
Those are 8 easily winning games if the coaching improves.
That being said, my prediction is we go 7-5

I'd highly doubt you will beat us in Knoxville this year. It looks like another 6-6 year for the cocks.

My counteroffer:
Y'all finish with a better record than us, then I'll sport a Lame Kitten avatar until the first game of the 2010 season. If we finish with a better record, you have to have a I love Cocks Signature (the only thing that you can have in your sig) until the first game of the 2010 season.

berry is a fricking stud.

This is going to look great in your sig:

Brandon Spikes and Carlos Dunlap > Eric Berry.
Trevard Lindley > Berry.
There is another player, but I'll refrain from being a homer as I've already made my point.
Ok, I've got this one bookmarked now.
My only question to you is....will you dare show up on this board at the end of the season when these statements will crown you as the dumbest frick on the rant? (my apologies to wildrebeltime, kige, & lsuin09)

Will you still come here when Tennessee finishes behind South Carolina in the East?

I am asking this in the hopes of getting a serious response, although I doubt it.
Is it difficult to root for a team that has never even made it to the SEC championship game?
And by all likelihood, may never make it?
I just figure its gotta be tough.
UT may be down right now, but we will be back. On the other hand, as Spurrier enters the last few years of his career, you will cease to be the mighty 7-win game-chickens & go back to winning 4-5 games just like always.

And yes, if USC-lite manages to finish ahead of UT in Kiffin's first year, you'll still find me here.
If that happens though, it still won't change the fact that you are probably the dumbest fan for the SEC's most meaningless school.
I'm out.

Is it difficult to root for a school that hires a no-talent frat boy to coach a team that has one good player and bunch of nobodies otherwise and hasn't meant shite on the national stage since 1998 - unless you count getting beat by UCLA and Wyoming as being nationally relevant

Recruiting: UT>USC
Tradition: UT>USC
Facilities: UT>USC
All Time Head to Head: UT>USC
Coaching Staff: UT>USC
Playmaking Ability: Eric Berry>USC's whole team
But hey, I'm glad you're so proud you could beat us at home in one of our worst years. And to think, I at one time thought Tennessee had the advantage over S. Carolina. Silly me. And yes Norwood>Berry. Everyone's backed you up on that. You've got me beat.

Which explains why we beat you right?

I said you should be proud about beating us, didn't I?
