Ole Miss:
Pros: Great campus. Good law and medical schools. Fun tailgate atmosphere. Abundance of beautiful women, excellent Greek system
Cons: Bars close at midnight. Bar scene could be so much better if they'd stay open later. Oxford is lacking in the house party department also..I can never find a good late night party there. Another Con is it is expensive to live there, considering what you get out of it.
There are also a lot of out of state douchebags at Ole Miss that tend to give them that "snobbish" stereotype.
MSU:
Pros: Good, down to earth people. Decent campus, nothing special though. Great Agriculture, engineering, and vet school departments. Also has many beautiful women. Great baseball program with one of the best venues to watch a game in the country. Large areas of student-friendly housing such as the cotton district and Highlands allow for an abundance of good late night parties after the bars close.
Cons: tendency to be kind of redneck. City is not close to any large metro area. Bars stay open later than Oxford, but the bars themselves are not as good for the most part. Cops and ABC are terrible, game day atmosphere is meh compared to others in the SEC.

I prefer State. Wholesome conservative values, dairy, and maroon.

In all honesty one of the coolest things about the MS schools is the enthusiasm for college baseball. I'd love to go to an OM-State series at either school just to see the atmosphere

Out of these two choices... I gotta go with The Grove.

I wish the NCAA would quit screwing over College Baseball and increase the number of scholarships.

Agreed. Title IX is fricking retarded

You couldn't pick a better time than next April. Our series with OM coincides with Super Bulldog Weekend and we'll likely shatter all the on campus attendance records (that we set). Gonna be a great weekend.

Last year the OM/State series was the weekend of graduation in Oxford. I was really disappointed.

I know the meme is Mississippi state is poor. But isn't tuition almost identical at the two schools?

My in-state tuition this year per semester was around 3.5k (although I think I get some kind of discount for my grades). I'm not sure how much OM's is but I know ours is dirt cheap relative to some of the other schools in the SEC and elsewhere.

Last time I checked, the websites for both schools had tuition in the $6500 range. No big deal. Just was curious why Mississippi St was considered poor when there wasn't a real difference in sticker price.

OM's is around 4K I believe.

Interesting. I may have to make that happen
