Men's bracket = all #1 seeds in the Final Four with three of them beating the #2 seed and the other beat a #3.
On the women's side we already have two #1's in the FF with a 1 vs 2 matchup in the two games tonite.
Is this what NIL and the transfer portal going to do to college basketball or is it just one of those years?
If this is going to be the norm it will make picking those brackets a whole lot easier and maybe the overall winner will have to be decided with a tie-breaker.

10,000 people will have to split $10,000.

Time will tell, one year's hardly a trend make. Last year the sport was nearly as NIL heavy and still had a varied final four.

Maybe, maybe not. We will need to see how things go over the next few seasons.

One thing is undeniable, though, the four best teams in the country are in the Final Four. Auburn, Duke, and Houston were there all along. They all separated themselves relatively early, and outpaced the field.
Florida, due to its terribly weak non-conference schedule, took a while to catch up, but once conference play started they quickly proved they were in the top tier.

I also enjoy the upsets, cinderellas, last second shots, etc, but the best 4 teams are in the final four. No one complains when the best 2 teams are in the CFB NC game. We just say that the "system" worked when that happens. So, while it hasn't been as exciting as past years, the "system" is working.

Yea, this is how things are going to be from now on. And as the bigger schools get richer, they will attract all the best coaches, further widening the gap.

I agree the smaller schools cant keep up however when the ivy league decides to start trying. If they lowe their academic standards to let athletes in with their money could be a force again
