OU has the number one offense in the nation. This is who they have played. The number in parentheses is where that team ranks for total defense.

FA (88)
UCLA (105)
ISU (34)
Army (11)
Baylor (77)
Texas (68)
TCU (26)
KSU (73)
Tech (111)
Ok St (99)
Kansas (80)
West Virginia (74)

That's 10 of 13 games against defenses that were 68 or worse.

The other three games were 11 (Army), 26 (TCU) and 34 (Iowa State).

Doesn't much matter. Same stuff was said about them going into the UGA game last year, and guess what? The two teams were forced into an Oklahoma shootout rather than a Georgia slug fest.

Let’s see The rankings of offenses Alabama’s defense have faced this year...or how about UGA? Or how about Clemson’s numbers?

OU hasn't played a defense worth a damn all year, which is the main reason I don't give them much of a chance against Bama. Bama is bigger, faster, and more talented across the board than ANY team OU has faced.

Worse for OU, Bama has a legitimate offense for the first time in forever.

Cause I was curious, I went through A&M's schedule. I did not list NWST, since CBFstats doesn't list them:

Clemson (4)
ULM (92)
Alabama (9)
Arkansas (76)
Kentucky (22)
USCe (89)
MSU (3)
Auburn (45)
Ole Miss (121)
UAB (10)
LSU (29)

That's 4 in the top 10, and only 4 worse than 45.

What if you did offenses faced by OU and A&M? I would bet the offenses OU played on a whole are better than those played by A&M, which is kind of why they cancel out.

If you play better offenses on a week by week basis, then you will need to score more points against everyone and therefore those teams will have worse statistical defenses.

for one half. OU's offense scored 7 points in the 2nd half.

Something tells me saban has dissected that film every which way and it's not gonna be the same kinda thing.

I don't think it's gonna be 21-17 by any means but I don't expect OU to move the ball against bama from the get go like they did against us.

I agree that Bamas defense had better be prepared to cough up 35+ points.

UGA played to contain, bend don't break, until just before the half. We manned up and came after Baker just before the end of the half and through the end of the game. The game did a sudden 180.

Bama will man up and bring pressure with their defensive front without needing blitz's with a top notch secondary.

On offense Bama can score any way they want, ground pound or throw.

OU is fricked and they don't seem to realize what is going to happen to them.

So Oklahoma has faced 2 top 30 defences seeing how Armys’ stats are a misnomer in that the ball control offence they play prohibits opposing teams from chances to get their stats. It’s not that they’re defence is good just that the offense never lets you have the ball .
