So Texas is allowed to do it? But OU can't mock it? That's fricked up.

In the big12, this will get you a 15 yard penalty:
While in the SEC, this will just get you half empty bourbon and cokes thrown at you:

We've gotten flagged for gator chomps and fins up mocking before, not to mention the Manizel money thing and throat slash in 2012.
It seems silly as hell, but it isn't like this is new.

Coincidentally, Clemson and LSU both did "thumbs down", and Clemson did the "Manziel Money Fingers" twice, toward the crowd and no one died.

Not really. You couldn’t handle the competition, as proven over a decade and a half. Thank god you moved to the SEC where you’re now at the top-wait-no-i-mean-once-more-mid-bottom-tier in your league.

OU will be penalized 15 yards if players flash the "horns down" during the game
That's just fricking pussy-assed, to couch it in technical terms. If a player runs up to the crowd or Texas players and does it, I get that as unsportsmanlike
The penalty is taunting. Whether it is a good or bad penalty, you can taunt with or without horns up or down.
Texas players have been penalized for taunting while using the horns up sign.
And pooooooor aggy.

What about just flashing the middle finger, is that allowed?

Collegiate athletes should learn sportsmanship. I'm OK with taunting penalties.
Besides, it looks pretty juvenile.

I have yet to see a credible explanation as to how moving to a conference (and division) that has dominated college football for over a decade, from one that is most often "odd man out" in CFP seeding, is "running away from competition".

And as soon as it was anywhere close to a level playing field in 1974 (scholly limits, women on campus, no Corps requirements), the series went 19-19 for the next 38 years. Before then, we were like The Citadel. I mean, who gets much of a game from The Citadel? The fact that they EVER lost to us should have been the bigger problem.
