How can you not see How that makes the game beating the crap out of Texas OU in the ratings even more of a beat down ?

A&M is a huge school with a huge following but you are right Alabama is more than half of the equation in that game. But the point is that Alabama versus Aggie is not even a top 15 SeC game or rivalry of the year

Get it still utterly destroyed the big 12 game of the year and what you proclaim as one of the greatest rivalries in college football despite it repeatedly being smacked around in the ratings, proving but it’s probably not in the top 15 college football rivalries

To watch Alabama. They always get good ratings.

Then Texas vs Arky should outdraw A&M vs Colorado, right

Or A&M vs Arky

Oh really? So why was A&M vs. Alabama the 2nd highest watched game this season behind only Georgia vs. Clemson on opening day?

Aggie had a game that was viewed by only a couple hundred thousand people. So it is safe to say Alabama was the big draw in that game.

Now to Aggies credit, they lead most of the game and that may have had some people tuning in that would not have watched. To be honest, the game should have drawn a bigger number with how close the game was but because it was Aggie, it failed to reach a much higher number.

CBS Night Games by Year

2021 8.3 Million (Alabama vs Texas A&M)
2020 9.6 Million (Alabama vs Georgia)
2019 9.3 Million (Notre Dame vs Georgia)
2018 11.5 Million (Alabama vs LSU)
2017 6.7 Million (Alabama vs LSU)
2016 10.4 Million (Alabama vs LSU)
2015 11.1 Million (Alabama vs LSU)
2014 9.1 Million (Alabama vs LSU)

Average 2014-2020 = 9.7 Million

Therefore, the 2021 game was 86% of the average for this time slot..

Going forward..
Average 2014-2021 = 9.5 Million

Again, how can you be so lacking in self-awareness to not see how that makes it worse that texas and OU game got crushed in the ratings so badly

Aggie versus Bama isn’t a big SEC annual matchup

Those others are

Still destroyed red river showdown

That time slot on CBS outperforms pretty much 99% of all other games during a year..

Yet, it was only 86% of the average for the previous 7 years when A&M played in it.. If y’all hadn’t shite the bed the previous two weeks, it would have been a lot higher..

But Congratulations!

Again you keep proving my point, even a shitty matchup destroys the biggest big 12 football game of the year and the Longhorns biggest football game of the year

Which is why Texas and Oklahoma are joining the SEC and leaving the Big 12?

That seems pretty self-explanatory.
