Always love these recruiting rankings in July lol. Kids sign in Dec. Once season plays out there will be flipmas season not counting still many chess pieces on the board.
Win in the fall rankings go up as kids commit and flip
Also, recruiting has lost half its luster due to instant transfers. So many kids who play or sit first year at chosen school will transfer for money. Its way more wild west than NFL. Can’t lock them in like pro’s.
Great example is last year. We had the top 5*+ QB and he flopped. This year we have a proven transfer along with his coach.
You can fill so many holes via portal. What teams have to do is manage money. Spend all your money on 5*’s and then have to pay them for 3-4 years which is even more money. Leaves less room for depth plus less room for following year recruits. If you low ball their pay year 2 they leave.

This. Our athletic department has done every single thing in their ability to handcuff our team for the last twenty years and they still didn't do anything this bad.
