It does not. Venables should be the one fired

I mean one less coach now. Unless they have a staffer that can fill the role.

It doesn’t. But it does placate the big money donors for a little while.
They are going to have to pull the trigger on Venables eventually, best to do it now. But they won’t.

Might as well give someone else a shot and see what they can do.

Is the OC really at fault when the coaches as a unit, particularly the HC, failed to have a SEC quality QB on the roster?
Firing the OC won't solve their *actual* problems on offense, which is not having a serviceable QB to put out there

They have an SEC QB on the roster. Clearly the problem was failure to create good game plans. And failure to develop former 4 star recruits to step up.
That’s not a player problem, that’s a developmental/coaching problem.

OU better be careful or they will have a Nebraska problem.

I think firing him mid-season is pretty questionable but they're looking for anything they can to placate the boosters

AND on offensive line problem. That’s the one that’s going to get you killed in the SEC

They gave him an extension a couple months before this season started. Much like FSU, they can’t/wont fire their HC for another year at least.

Yes they will. That’s what they’re trying to prevent I’m assuming. They’re on the brink. Heads needed to roll, but you never like seeing someone lose their livelihood regardless. Tough day for Seth and his family.

Absolutely. I really don’t know how you fix that in the short or even medium term. What I’ve witnessed on the line this year is beyond explanation as much as a homer I can be it is the worse I’ve ever seen at OU in over 20 years.

Standby for DallasTIger55 to explain why they will now run the table.

It’s wasted time. He is done. Consider the contract sunk costs and move on.
They are going to pay hell in recruiting and the portal keeping him. Too much negativity.

Correct!
Please don't fire Venables!

I don’t disagree, I just don’t know if the school has the money.
