Serious question.

Their forums are filled with shite talk about anything SEC. Their previous coach and the current one love to bash the SEC.

They are ate up with jealousy.

So why do you guys want to join something you hate so much?

OU fans explain yourselves.

Stoops has them believing they can compete week in and week out ever since they beat Bama that one time.

Oklahoma would never get invited to join the SEC

They’d have better luck getting into conference USA

Please link any negative quote Lincoln Riley made about the SEC. You are an example of why outsiders think less of your conference than insiders. Bunch of snotty Aggies and Bama-worshipers.

What most of you really want but are afraid to say is a changing of the guard..whether from within the conference or outside.

1. Your league always was top heavy versus the morons at ESPN et al for years praising its 'strength'top to bottom.
2. Your style of play sans Alabama with Tua is dead arse boring.
3. We would join ANY league if the big 12 folds... we nearly went to the Pac 12 a few years back but of course Texas would have to come too...maybe even Oklahoma State.

4.-50. I can get to later lolol

Insecure and wrong. The SEC has more top to bottom strength than any other conference and it's not even close. Even our bottom feeders have twice the talent of a mid level Big 12 team. Nothing is a bigger farce than Big 12 teams talking about their conferences "depth".

Is there an award teams get for being 13th in the SEC vs 9th in the Big 12? Neither make
a bowl.

I guess you can say Arky has more future “hope” with the great recruiting class. Obviously you can’t judge results for 2-3 years.

frick you I'm not linking shite.

Stoops loved shitting on the SEC and Riley has taken digs at the SEC since last year's matchup with UGA.

Your post just confirms the hate you have for the SEC..... ...yet you guys are obsessed with us and deep down want to join us.

Just explain to me why?

That explains Ole Miss beating Tech by 20 and Mississippi State beating Kansas State by 21.

Heck even one of your best West Virgina struggled till late in the 3rd quarter to put away a shitty Tennessee.

Answer the question or leave the thread.

Better yet leave the site if you can manage abandoning your SEC obsession

I’d like to see the sec more balanced with another bama tier team. Also would like to see OU, Mizzou, and A&M in the west where all teams would have natural rivals and easy travel destinations with great atmospheres (MU needs to get better) this would lead to Bama and auburn heading to the east and would balance out the league nicely with better scheduling. Oklahoma has the history coaching and resources to compete with bama for The conference more so than any other school in the sec (I guess you could throw UGA in that tier as of late) the sec would be a good fit culturally for OU and is probably the secs best chance along with Clemson to add a program that recruits at an elite level and would be improved even more with an SEC membership. I’d like to see Bama/UGA/LSU/ vs OU more often and I think CFB in general would too. I don’t think any SANE OU fan would argue the current Big 12 is anywhere near the SEC, but it’s obvious OU would compete in the SEC easily and would be a massive addition to the conference.

The 10th best team in the SEC (Auburn) would be playing in the championship game if they were in the Big 12.

Speaking of top heavy:

In the entire existence of the Big 12, one team (Oklahoma) has more Big 12 championships in football (10) than the rest of the current conference members combined (8).

Also, in your conference's entire existence, one team (Kansas) has more Big 12 championships in basketball (29 combined regular season and tournament) than nearly TWICE the number of the rest of the current members combined (15).

and you want to lecture us about TOP HEAVY?

Add Oklahoma and Okie State in the West .. Move Mizzou to West …. Move Auburn and Bama to the East …. Play 9 or 10 game conference schedule!

I'm not a fan of this.

West would literally have three teams competing while the East would have the threat of three plus two sleeping giants.

Like a kid who is dying to be in a club but doesn’t get an invite - “that club sucks anyway.”
