and why in hades did you leave cam newton and auburn out. wasn't newton one of your thugs?

Cam was no thug. He fell into the category of misunderstood youth. Urban just could not provide the quality family guidance that he got at Auburn under Troopah.

Lacy for Bama

WR a few years back from Bastrop went to Auburn after not qualifying at LSU

And I think Kiffin picked up a dude that didn't qualify or had problems, I think he ended up getting kicked out of Tennessee

So is this just belated angst because Urban kept every thug in UF history on the team except Cam Newton, presumably with the expectation that John Brantley would be a better QB?

I'm confused by the point of this thread.

We all know about LSU (Mett), Tennessee (John Brown, Daniel Hood, etc), & Ole Miss (Hornsby)......but are there any other SEC schools that do this?
Shame on those schools for giving good players a chance at rebounding in life, just shame on them!

Lacy? Recruited out of HS.

A Douglas quit football after going through Kiffin crap. Later decided to play. Was never kicked off team.

Florida doesn't accept other teams' thugs and rejects because they are at maximum capacity already.

Still mad eh?
I'd be mad about the whole Cam thing, then the Sugar Bowl.. I mean really, Louisville...in a BCS bowl? And then fresh off last weekend.

So, I guess, it's ok. I'm sure it will be better soon.

This never happens in the NFL with the free agency.

It's a unique occurrence that only a few college teams do it.

Lacy could not qualify at LSU
I don't know who Douglas is but that's not the player I was referring to
