It'll be interesting to see if the numbers match they hype for the 5* transfer at TAMU. The hype just keeps making me think of Emmanuel Moody.

I think you have to take a long look at Matt Jones and Mike Davis as the next tier most productive backs in the SEC. They don't necessarily have the best offenses around them, but both head coaches will mercilessly pound the rock with both backs this year.

Both should have 20 carries a game, surpass 1000 yards unless they are hurt, and both should have solid seasons especially if the offenses around them can open up the running game.

Him or Raijon Neal. UT has a great oline to open up holes for them.

Mike Davis should get the majority of our carries this year so he has a chance to but up big numbers.

I don't think Manziel will be A&M's leading rusher. I think it will be Brandon Williams.

unless BW becomes the feature back (doubtful) there is no chance of that happening.

he'll get 115 carries max IMO

Not sure what you mean by this.

We're all pulling for Josey. His injury was so severe his surgeon, who's been the team orthopedist for years, had never seen anything quite like it. He had 3 surgeries. But in the spring, the OC said he as probably at 90% and still has his speed. He was a 1200-yd rusher in 9 games, so we'd happily take 90% fo that production.

The Aggies don't need JFF to run this year.

They have another 5* RB that is eligible to play this year that is going to slash right through SEC defenses.

Dee Hart is a 5* running back that just loves to cut through defenses.

Jonathan Williams. He averaged 5.1 last year as a true freshman. We have a coach that loves the ground game, an inexperienced QB who wont slimg it like Wilson/Mallett and an o-line that should be very good. Everything is shaping up for Williams to have a great year. Alex Collins might have something to say about that though.

I can also see Mike Davis being one of the top backs in the SEC.

If Trey would have taken this to the house, we could have played for an MNC last season. Not saying its his fault at all, but its interesting to think about. Just like we left points off the board during that game due to Bertolet being a horrendous kicker. What about the field goal that Florida missed, but Sumlin called a timeout and then made it the next attempt? Crazy to think about. Can't find for football to get here!!!

We have a stacked backfield. I hope there are enough carries/touches, especially since this offense will air it out. Malena is old reliable and does everything well. Tra Carson has good hands and is our "big back" although he has pretty good speed. Brandon Williams and Trey Williams are just freaks. Of course, consider the SEC's leading rusher, Johnny Manziel, and you are looking at a 5 headed monster in addition to our receivers.

Sca.ry.

I know that is probably silly sounding to people, but really Fowler had some pretty nice plays as a running back when he first started playing at Alabama. Too bad he's been dealing with injuries. The guy is a bowling ball though. Just plows through multiple dudes. And is somewhat fast for a big fella like himself. I doubt he'll be good in the future due to injuries, but still....he is a respectable running back IMO.

Keith Marshall averaged 6.5 ypc last year and is now over 220lbs and a bit faster as he displayed on the track. Outside of Gurley and Yeldon he would start for any team in the country.

I'll take whoever wins the UF starting RB job as a dark horse. You know CWM is going to pound the ball to shorten up the game.

I was a huge fan of Gilly, but Jones is definitely more than capable of stepping up and having a good year. he definitely showed flashes in that FSU game for sure

Henry Josey was a hell of a player before he got hurt. I hope he's 100% and has no drop off.

Kid was goooood.
