well they shouldn't because he is right in this instance.

Not talking about the best conference talk. Talking about his personal beliefs about the upcoming game.....I find it laughable, so would they. That's what I meant. Sorry.

Exactly. In the world of sports, a trend that has lasted going on 5 years, is like an eternity.

When you consider for example, the opinions of all the kids being recruited in high school, 4 years extends back to the alpha, or the beginning of the universe of their own conscious thoughts on the matter. The media and we as fans also are forming our opinions based on the last 4, 5 years.

The best measurement is indeed bowl wins. That is the time when it's time for your conference to show off against the best from other conferences. And the very best measure among the bowl records are BCS bowl records.

SEC Bowl record last 4 years, 2006: 6-3, 2007: 7-2, 2008: 6-2, 2009: 6-4. With dominating BCS National Championship games each of those years. Also 7-1 in BCS games during that stretch.

And this year looks to continue that trend. So in fact, the SEC really is dominating, no question.

edit: misspelled word

and they would be wrong. its very easy to see the SEC is a superior conference to the pac 10 since the creation of the BCS. we have as many titles as ALL OTHER CONFERENCES COMBINED!!!

SEC recruits better players top to bottom than the other conferences. The SEC has more players on NFL squads than the other conferences.

Better players in, better players out = better conference plain and simple.
That's not to say a team in some other conference can't be good, but overall top to bottom any way you slice it the SEC is far superior.

Pac Ten has two less teams and they all play one less OOC game because they play a round robin.
Should also point out that the SEC Record is misleading as I am sure many of those wins came against ULM, Troy State, Georgia Southern of the worlds....
