Orgeron just talks like a dumbass, he means that the locker room will know who the starter will be by game 1, not that everyone knows who it is today

Actually, you are wrong. As many people close to the team such as Blake Ruffino, Josh Booty, and now Rohan Davy, (who until just recently was in the Myles Brennan camp), are saying for the past few weeks that Max Johnson has separated himself both in the locker room and on the field.
Now they are not saying who they are hearing it from, but it is pretty easy to discern they are hearing it from the players themselves, as opposed to the coaching staff.
As they claim that Max Johnson does the things better that Jake Peetz wants to do with LSU's offense relative to Myles Brennan.

Exactly, how did he boof it? I mean what's wrong with being honest? He said he thinks he knows who the QB will be already but that he will let the competition play out to the end so that it will be obvious to everyone on the team and the coaching staff, including the two players involved. Which is exactly how it should be. As both players competing for the starting job know the better player will win the job. Hence, when the announcement will be made, it should not come as a big surprise to the loser. As the loser should by then know that he lost and why he lost.

There is something awfully wrong with the way you perceive the world. As Burrow's arm is astronomically far better relative to Brennan's arm. Why? Because it is far, far more accurate relative Brennan's arm and because Burrow could also throw with touch. Plus Burrow was also astronomically far better at processing information fast relative to Myles at the same time. In fact, Joe Burrow's arm and processing ability was so great, that he is now considered to be the greatest college football QB to have ever played the sport in history. Give me a freaking break.
