Well I’m not a liberal and I’m not sure where the politics came from but I’m guessing the election is really getting to you today. It’s alright, take a breather bud. It’ll all be okay.

You wouldn’t even last a full season on a FBS team, and you’re going to call Hill soft?

Dude is about to go to the NFL and make a good living for himself. Why are you so butthurt?

I always take everything I see here as joking or trolling, so when you see posts like this where the dude is clearly getting worked up in real life it’s kind of concerning.

This whole year will be tainted by agents. They got to them in the early summer during the Covid madness...

Easily the best skill player MSU had. I don’t blame him for opting out. Theres nothing to gain for him playing in this offense.

Hill won’t be a first round pick. His draft report from last year was 6th to Undrafted which is why he came back. His knock is pass protection and breakaway speed. He can prove the latter without playing at the combine.

Hill would’ve lead MSU in receptions this year if he played the full year. He is hands down their best offensive player and it’s not even close.

Per Zip Recruiter....

As of Oct 27, 2020, the average annual pay for an Indoor Football League in the United States is $37,076 a year.Oct 27, 2020

average pay for a SEC is a little less but there is no FICA withdrawn.

You mean a guy who is practically non-existent in the new coach's offense said frick it and opted out?

Can anyone really blame him for that?

Can't blame the guy. What running back would want to play for a guy whose only run play is a draw play and can't stay on topic and doesn't have an explanation for why. Mike Leach is the B mofo that has opted out of learning and adapting an offense and is getting paid millions of dollars to do nothing.

The NFL is moving to Air RAID concepts. Mike Leach is respected by every coach in the NFL. If you’re telling me that Hill wouldn’t improve his draft stock by learning his system, you’re wrong. He quit because he didn’t want to learn how to pass block. There is no place in the NFL for a RB that is too proud to protect his quarterback. That kid just cost himself millions.

1. The RB in that offense usually has a buttload of receptions
2. If it took him this long to realize who and what his HC does on offense he isn’t too bright

Hill wasn't non-existent in the offense. He had led the team in receptions after 3 games despite only playing in 2 of those games (concussed in the 1Q vs Arky). He just point blank did not get along well with the staff as well as a number of personal items going on in his life.

What was Air Coryell running all those years with the Chargers? What offensive system was Dan Marino in for so over a decade? Nothing new under the sun.

The problem I see is that Leach's offensive system has little respect for some semblance of a running game. Take that concept to the NFL and someone's QB is going to be in a body bag by the second quarter.

Uh, not Air Raid

Air Raid per Hal Mumme is based on concepts from 3 offenses.
The BYU offense (Lavell Edwards) Mesh
The Run N Shoot (Mouse Davis) Choice / Divide
The West Coast Offense (Bill Walsh)

Mumme went to visit all of those coaches on occasion as well as others like Packers HC Lindy Infante (Smash) during his and Leach’s early stages of creating the offense we see today.

Hal will be the first to tell you he didn’t create anything, they just packaged plays together that they felt put vertical and horizontal strain on the defense then ran them at a frenetic pace to make the defense overreact and cause a big play

Not my point. We've always had excellent NFL teams that passed first in the scheme. They also had running games that allowed them to stay somewhat balanced. What I saw from Leach's scheme Saturday would get an NFL QB killed. It was far too one dimensional to ever keep the Kalia Macks and Aaron Donalds off the QB for 2 seconds. Frankly, vs Alabama, it certainly didn't do Costello any good either.

Historically Leach’s QBs are among the least sacked in CFB. Last year
Burrow -who had the best OL in CFB- 527 attempts, sacked 34 times
Wazzou QB 689 attempts, sacked 20.

A concept from the Edwards BYU teams. Wide Splits and Vertical Set protection QB in the gun. Widens DEs out and makes DTs run farther to get to QB
Hence the hurry up, 70 plays of that and defenses feel the toll late in the 4th
