That coach would pick him over Tua?
Apparently you think this guy has a legit opinion since you posted it.

I'd pick Fromm over Tua. Tua is more athletic, but Jake is more consistent and a better decision maker.

The thing that gives me pause is Tua has a knack for rising to the big moments (although it can show itself in instances of him playing "hero ball"), and Fromm hasn't shown me that.

Agree. It doesn’t say opposing Head Coach does it? I mean they could be asking a Butch Jones analysts type coach for all we know.

Divaad Wilson started at corner. It was his first snap this year. Texas scored ALL their points with young guys out there. They won...but they didn't exactly play the team that Bama played.

This is objectively false. Both QBs have similar game logs through 2018, however Tua had a slightly higher completion percentage (69% vs 67.4%) as well as a better QBR (199.4 vs 171.3).

Passing yardage:
-Fromm had 8 100-yard games, 5 200-yard games, and 1 300-yard game.
-Tua had 4 100-yard games, 5 200-yard games, and 6 300-yard games.

Passing completion %:
-Fromm had 4 games greater than 80%, 8 games 60-80%, and 2 games less than 60%. -Tua had 3 games greater than 80%, 9 games 60-80%, and 3 games less than 60%.

QBR:
-Fromm had 4 games above 200, 4 games between 180-200, 1 game 160-180 and 5 games below 160
-Tua had 10 games above 200, 1 game 180-200, and 4 games less than 160.

Tua > Fromm for all except the homers

Tua is frequently (not always but frequently) throwing to wide open receivers, which really helps his stats. He has one of the best receiving corps in NCAA history. If you switched the two players Fromm's stats would be as good or better than Tuas.

Tua has issues reading plays and adjusting. Pressure doesn't rattle Tua a lot, but it has an effect.
His need to always make the big play leads to bad decision making when he is facing a pass rush, so he ends up with a lot of boom or bust plays when his O-Line isn't clearly dominating the opposition.

I'm not saying Fromm is perfect, BTW. I'm not even saying he's better. I think Fromm is smarter and more even keeled, but they both have their advantages. I'm saying I'd rather have Fromm than Tua leading my team.

I don't know what to tell Georgia fans.
It is obvious you take the good as the truth and make excuses for anything else.
Maybe you are making excuses because the Bama game was the actual anomaly. Not everything played Tua with two busted legs.

Fair enough. I disagree with your opinion that Tua is rattled by pressure and has issues reading plays, although I do agree that he gets greedy sometimes. Tua’s superior accuracy, arm strength, athleticism, decision making speed, and play-making ability make him preferable to Fromm’s even-keeled nature in my opinion though. I do think they are both very smart QBs.

Tua is a better QB that Fromm at all levels of analysis.

Fromm is a good QB. Certainly good enough to lead a championship team.

Tua is one of the best to ever play the position in the SEC. There isn’t much comparison.

Texas definitely did not empty the bench lol, it was 28-14 early in the 4th quarter. I would call it a “strong” or maybe even “dominating” win, but definitely not an arse-kicking, that’s ludicrous. It’s just that Georgia talked a fair amount of shite before the game and then lost to the underdog, plus the whole “Texas is back” theatrics afterwards. That kind of stuff tends to exaggerate the strength of a win. Think of it like this: about a month earlier Bama also beat Georgia by one TD and it was described as a “heartbreaker”, and a “gritty” battle where Alabama prevailed in a “heavyweight clash”.

At least it was Texas not UCF, Utah, etc...

I think the motivation was exceedingly different from Texas's perspective.

An arse whipping would have been a 35-10 type score. Y’all didn’t even get over 400 yards total offense despite 3 of our best defenders not playing.
