On ESPN app I select a game that's on SEC+ and it just tells me it's not part of my package, doesn't give me any options

Get another carrier that supports the plus.

I have to sign out and back in from time to time. I think that is the same message.

I have the same issue, we have to have a tv provider subscription to get sec+ like YouTube tv or such. I’m a bit irritated about it myself.

Then you should be able to sign in with that to get access to it.
Go out of the app and then go back in. I've had it do that to me before with YTTV and that "reset" it.

I used different email accounts to sign up for ESPN+ and YouTubetv so I bet that's why it won't sync
