Thing you're missing is that we hadn't been able to reach top 5 in anything until Pres. Donde Plowman and AD Danny White turned every program around. The only thing missing is more success in track and for the LVs to keep climbing their way back into elite company in basketball.
The job Plowman and White have done bringing UT Sports back from the abyss has been nothing short of astonishing.

So maybe the OP shouldn’t be talking down to a fan of LSU about not being a football school.
You know, since LSU won a title in 2019 and the West in 2022.
