If SEC is so tough....why does Bama have ZERO top 25 wins and they are ranked 5th? Hmmmmm

Looks like your conference should call the SEC and find out what to do to compete for the CFP

Well now I have seen it all. Waco trolling the SEC Rant. I feel like Nickelback is lecturing The Beatles, Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd.

That’s not the point. By playing less conference games, the league negates 7 guaranteed losses

There are two separate issues the OP is complaining about:

#1 - By playing fewer conference games the SEC is allowed to artificially inflate its perceived dominance. The OP argues that even if the SEC inserts a very difficult "9th" game it is highly unlikely that half of the SEC teams would lose (which would obviously happen if the conference played each other in a "9th" game).

#2 - The SEC has easier schedules bc they don't play a 9th conference game. This is subjective and must be taken on a case by case basis. It depends on who each team schedules as their "9th" game. A & M scheduled Clemson, Auburn scheduled Oregon, LSU scheduled Texas, Georgia scheduled Notre Dame.

Issue #1 may be a valid complaint. Issue #2 is absolutely not valid unless a team schedules only patsy non-conference opponents.

Wtf you mean may be a valid complaint? It’s 100% valid and negates 7 additional guaranteed loses.

But you are right everywhere else. God speed

I mean it MAY be a valid complaint. Remember, the SEC is not only negating 7 guaranteed loses, the SEC is also negating 7 guaranteed wins.

What if the 9th game scheduled by every team was really, REALLY difficult and the SEC lost 10 of them. That would end up hurting the conference. This, like most things in life, is not black and white.

The point is that the difficult intra conference win then negates the opponents perceived strength which brings the conference down when looking at it from a birds eye view.

The lack of 9th game allows the middling garbage to be rankwd somewhere between 8 and 20

Umm y’all scared? You need that late season bye game against Marshall?

Stop not playing each other trying to game the system. BE MEN AND PLAY EACH OTHER

Dude...you are about to get trucked in your next two games. Maybe you should concentrate on your own schedule.

Besides. You need to be ranked in the top 10 before you come on our board to talk crap.

I'm sure this would be a more important topic to discuss on the Big12rant.

We aren’t getting trucked; our D has enough to keep OU under 30.

If our offense plays 4 quarters we win by 7

So, would it make you feel better if Alabama played Vanderbilt?

Lets take a look see at your reasoning. LSU will play Alabama, Auburn, Florida and played Texas a an OOC game.

Baylor will play Oklahoma, Texas and Oklahoma State with your best ooc game being....Rice?

Ranking of teams played by LSU (Current rankings)
Texas (OOC) #19
Alabama #5
Auburn #12
Florida #11

Rankings of team played by Baylor (Current rankings)
Texas #19
Oklahoma #10
Pklahoma State #22
Kansas State #24

You tell me which team plays the tougher schedule.

You proved my point. Look at the rankings; they aren’t much different. We are undefeated and ranked 13 LOL
