Only DuBose and Shula have been fired from Bama since 1958.
I am old enough to remember that while Curry was not fired in the technical sense, his home home office being hit with bricks, though I think that was the 1988 season after Auburn maybe. When he lost the 89 Auburn game he figured what was next and left for UK.

There was a contract extension offered to him too. He (and the university in general) were blindsided by how bad the sanctions ended up being.
