On the field, how is Tee Martin a better hire than Schiano?

Since we all know that coaching ability is the reason why Schiano wasn't out recruiting in a puke orange pants suit today, how on Earth does approving going after Tee Martin make any sense logically?

It's not. It's an absolutely idiotic hire designed to do nothing other than placate a fan base and some extremely angry former players. It will last about 3 years and Tennessee fans will realize they're still pissed off.

At this point they need someone, so why not someone who played there and is in coaching.

Tennessee has made LSU’s coaching woes over the past few years look like child’s play. They’ve brought it to whole new level.

Schiano has a better coaching resume.

He also has character flaws, and is a terrible fit for VOLS. I personally do not want him anywhere near Knoxville due to his Penn State allegations either.

Tee would kill it in recruiting, and no one can negatively recruit against his character.

Give me TEE.

Unlike Schiano, he knows the words to "Rocky Top" by heart....and....he's a .........players coach.

With Schiano you know you're getting mediocre. Tee could fail epically but he could also be a grand slam hire. Vols are in a position to take a big risk because it can't get much worse.

Jim Bob Cooter is who they'll wind up with.

Think you are right. Your AD really screwed everything up.

BINGO. Time to roll the dice with the head coach and spend some paper on the coordinators and assistants.

When your trading with junk rated stock, the big risk is all you've got left.

Correct. It is unconscionable how bad Currie has handled this.

Schiano didn't have a binder.
Maybe Tee does.

No clue. I think the level of ineptitude within the University's leadership positions is off the charts.

Plus, he was the pick of the Haslams. And yes, I think they are the most to blame with this situation and with Tennessee football's steady decline.
