That's what pisses me off the most. This season will be stained in the minds of many, even if we were completely innocent.

It's what you get with yellow press and sensationalism.

Understandable. It's also due in part, imo, to fringe Bama fans helping to fan the flames in response to the fringe Auburn fans that tried to tarnish Bama last year with the Gadsden rumors. I think, right or wrong, it's a way of payback.

In terms of sanctions, I'll go with 8. The fall out will be harder, over a longer period of time than the USC sanctions.

In terms of public perceptions, it'll be a 12. Auburn will, rightly or wrongly, displace SMU as the name synonymous with corruption in college athletics.

I wonder how many times, "And to think - we didn't even have to hire a PI!" has been said in those circles.

It's definitely easier to just copy and paste, than pay towards a P.I. and do all the legwork.

Honestly at this point I say a 1. While the last 2 weeks have been fun it just seems like IF something improper happened it will be swept under the rug.

read something where the NCAA President said he wants a swift conclusion to this case, but he also had a zinger where he said "the burden of proof for us is higher than for some blogger".

The President of the NCAA is former LSU chancellor Mark Emmert and yes he did say that this weekend on his return visit for an LSU football game. I read that quote in the Baton Rouge Sunday Sports page.
