It will be hard to beat Hurd+Kamara on that count, especially if our OL improves from holy frick shite awful to just plain bad. They really are the perfect compliment to one another.
Even with that OL had Jalen played more in junk games and not been hurt so early against Vandy he'd have reached a 1000 yards and would've earned it all by himself - 90% YAC with our line this year.

You have a good idea now what Hurd is capable of, but how can you know that Kamara will "perfectly" compliment him?
Maybe he will, but he also may suck. I'm pretty sure he didn't leave Alabama because he was going to dominate the conference and just felt like doing it somewhere else.

Bro has graduated. It is now time to put our road-graters to work. We have like 6 RB that are sorta good to really good and our line will finally be 2-deep all the way across. Hugh decided to stop sandbagging for a short period in the Egg Bowl and BAM 91 YD TD RUN. We'll be mostly scoring like that next year. I would tell opposing SEC linebackers to wear their big boy pants but frick it, wear a neck brace. That's the only body part they'll really be moving. Swag Out.
I hope so, but I haven't seen anything from our run game that suggests rushing dominance is just around the corner.

Ole Miss regresses and the faithful will question the genius of the AD for that fat contract ???

I think Georgia will have the best backfield next year.
As far as having 3 5* running backs, no. You'll have 2 - Roc and Javon. Or are you assuming Gus is dumb enough to burn the redshirt on the almost 5* Kerryon? On the flip side, Alabama will have Henry and Scarborough. If Yeldon doesn't leave early (though I presume he is), we will have 3 5* backs in our backfield. UGA has Chubb and Michel, both 5*, with Chubb being - by far - the most proven out of every person named.
Leading in rushing does not automatically equate to having the best backfield - especially this year, especially when it means finishing 3rd overall.
That said, the "best backfield" doesn't get shutdown in the red zone.
I believe that Keith Marshall was also a 5*, but it will depend on if he is ready mentally to get back into the swing of things. I like the JUCO back Carson UGA is apparently bringing in as well.

He could suck but he was considered the number 2 coming out of JUCO and earned JUCO All-American honors. He also tore it up on the field - kid is just silly good. One JUCO coach was asked if they'd rather have Jovon or Kamara and his response was Kamara said Alvin Kamara was just special.
Again no one's ever gonna be proven til they prove at their new school but Kamara is as proven as it's gonna get in this situation. Unlike most positions, the RB isn't hard to scout from JUCO. He was also a 5* coming out of high school.
His style is what makes him a great compliment to Hurd. And while he's not 100% proven here I do think he's a very, very, good bet.

Remember when Ole Miss knocked State completely out of the playoffs and beat the best Mississippi State team of all time 31-17?
Remember when State had a better record than the best Ole Miss team since integration?

It's not fair for UGA and UT fans to brag about rushing numbers? You play in the east, everyone knows the east sucks.

UGA beat the two west teams it faced 34-7 and 45-32. Seems like they had no problems running against those teams, even when UGA was down to Chubb alone against Arkansas.

LSU and Buga say hello lol

Maybe dear old Buga will find some vision next year. He would have a lot more yards if he could.

The last time Arkansas had nine-plus wins, President Obama was still in his first term, the Arab Spring was still a big deal, a massive tsunami struck Japan and killed 15,000+ people, Prince William was still single, Portugal was bankrupt, South Sudan was not a nation, Occupy Wall Street was a thing, and we were still at war with Iraq.

That 91 yard TD was mostly the result of Miss State bad tackling..... And every other team in the SEC West (besides Texas A&M) has a good rushing attack. Not sure why yall are suppose to be 1st.....

i guess i was just unaware you could have the best rushing attack without any good running backs. guess ole miss is going to shock the world busting that myth

It does when your QB can't hit the broad side of a barn and nobody is worried about his passing threat.
P.S. When we got into the redzone there was way too much passing. If Malzahn would've kept running the ball, there would've been more TDs. Oh well...sigh
