I remember when this happened last year. Two posters, a State fan and an LSU fan made posts about the fight the very weekend it happened that's very similar to what's being said now and all the Ole Miss fans on here claimed no fight happened, they had sources at the frat and it was all bull shite. I believe it happened while RN was on a visit to Ole miss if I remember correctly. Maybe someone can dig around and find the old posts on this and perform some thread necromancy.
Unfortunately I searched, that didn't work. So I tried to just go back and the rant only has the last 100 pages of threads. :(

It's relevant in the sense that it shoots holes in the "Oxford Police turn a blind eye to football players" argument.

no it's not. writing a kid an alcohol citation is not the same as investigating a potential felony. not to mention that happened to eli almost 15 years ago. but regardless, i'm not implying OPD turns a blind eye to football players. I'm refuting the notion that "if it happened, they def would have been charged because OPD are assholes. They arrested Eli ZOMG"

Im telling you, OPD doesnt show any favoritism. Nor does UPD, hell several of those dbags are state grads.

I don't know why people keep saying OPD. If this was at the KA house it was UPD

and i'm not saying OPD shows favoritism either. reread my post. I'm saying the fact that DK and RK weren't charged doesn't mean it didn't happen. It could just as easily mean they just didn't have enough probable cause to charge them. Bringing up the fact that OPD cops are assholes (like most campus police are, i went to college too) has no bearing on the validity of the lawsuit, and people bringing up that notion just sound ridiculous.

That goes for 98% of what's said on here....but I digress.

Hell, four Ole Miss players have been arrested in 2014. That right there is good enough. Don't even need to go the Eli Route.
Posted on 2/19/14 at 8:41 am to DCRebel
They would have all been OPD though. This would have been UPD

And yes I realize that criminal charges aren't the same as civil liability.

again, just because other people have been arrested doesn't mean nothing happened in this case. i mean holy strawman

I think the original posts were made on the recruiting board but I could be mistaken.

It's just as ridiculous to assume guilt because of a civil suit. But please continue.

i'm not assuming anything one way or another. people claiming they "know" anything because of something they "heard" or what happened to someone else in some unrelated matter is what i'm saying is ridiculous.

I don't think it's going to matter whether they were guilty or not in the long run football-wise. As long as they don't do anyhow else then I will forget about it. If they don't do anything else.

I honestly think it has more to do with Denzel than Robert. This type of action doesn't fit Robert's personality. Denzel on the other hand.....

What are you their fricking shrink?
You obviously don't know shite about these kids

So using previous examples of non-favoritism, that isn't germane to this subject? They were used in relation to the assertion that the police and university were complicit in covering up an assault on campus. That's the only reason it was brought up. Do you even rant bro
