Ole Miss’ over focus on Lane is going to torpedo their program

Blocking Lane from coaching his team in the playoff is going to torpedo their season, but it runs much deeper.
Everything they are doing right now is to win the narrative wars on twitter, hiring any LSU cast off they can, which is going to be followed by overpaying for LSU players just to stick it to Lane.
Which is all fine and good, I get their feelings are hurt so they are lashing out. But it’s not a way to run a winning program and is going to backfire on them. It will be hilarious.

Meh. They’re going to nuke Tulane from space.
They’re going to really struggle with us though without lane imo. He’s best attribute is knowing exactly what to call and when against whatever defense he sees and relaying it to Chambliss on what are usually one read plays.
It’s impossible to make any argument about how ole Miss won’t miss this. UGA is going to run the ball all over them and play the same defense we did in the 4th against them last time, man coverage and blitzing while maintaining gap integrity to keep Chambliss in the pocket.
IMO we win by 10+ at least.

Moscona seems to think OM is so hurt and mad that they will do anything to try and embarrass Kiffin.
He even went as far as to say OM boosters have rallied around this and are now willing to write large checks.
He added that he could see OM over paying Louisiana recruits to keep them from signing with LSU.

The only program LSU fans should be concerned about getting torpedoed by Lane, is LSU.

Right which is a mistake. They are more worried about embarrassing their old coach than they are being the best Ole Miss and winning football games. This is going to come back to bite them quickly.

Oh no not what I meant at all. You guys should definitely hope for the best and believe in your team. I was just asking if there was actually some believe in your fan base that yall wouldn’t be hurt at all by losing Kiffin when you got to us.

but you did score on like every possession until the 4th quarter when UGA abandoned zone coverage and went man across the board and brought pressure and did nothing at all in the 4th. This is the defense yall will see the whole game this time. Idk I just would be worried if I was an OM fan about how we have as strong an offensive performance not getting mostly drop 8 in zone in most snaps against your offense. IMO yall can get up to maybe 24 points but that’s not going to be enough.

Did they overpay? I have no idea what they were paid. But what you are going to realize is that Kiffin doesn’t really recruit high school kids very hard, he doesn’t believe in it anymore. He has said repeatedly that if a kid isn’t ready to play in the first year maybe 2, they should go to a smaller school and develop, then come play for him when it is time.
This isn’t a troll. He has been (and I imagine will continue to be) very successful in doing it this way. It’s the way of the portal era and you need to embrace it. Every year, every one is a free agent. You will get some that are great additions and you will lose some you wish you didn’t (but will of course claim are addition by subtraction).
