Not very good- Stanley is young but a less mobile Snead. Tapp is more of a game manager type, which wouldn't be the worst thing, but he's not very good... it's Snead or bust unless he has another 4 pick game vs UAB or Arky.

Snead is the only one that could probably make something happen. We need his mobility right now too. Stanley and Tapp probably would have gotten sacked a lot in that Bama game.

any word on Cotton? I know you're redshirting him, but I mean for the future. I know Petrino pushed hard for him when he decommitted from Auburn.

Cotton has apparently been a beast.

Stanley throws the deep ball very well. Has good size, but I think is more if not as mistake prone as Jevan Snead is. He's probably more accurate at this point, though.

Cotton, physically, is the best QB we have. Big, strong arm, etc. He's just too young to know the playbook as well as the coaches would like him to. You're right about Stanley throwing the deep ball in that he has shown excellent touch in practice, but he somehow struggles with the dink and dunk stuff (as bad as Snead apparently). Tapp is meh.

Cotton is the best of Ole Miss' backup QB's IMO

Mullen really wanted him bad b/c he fit the system he was bringing to Mississippi State better, but since we already had Tyler Russell, Cotton ended up signing with UM

Nutt will probably burn his redshirt by playing him the last game of the year........

Guys it seems to me that NO Ole Miss fans have any room to talk about anything football related. You guys were "Supposed to be" National contenders now you will be lucky to win 8 games and go to the Peach Bowl.

Is there any truth to Cotton being moved to TE? I would find that hard to believe but stranger things have happened.

I didn't think that had any truth to it. He's not heavy enough. Nutt likes TE at are in all respects a 3rd tackle like Jason Peters.

We haven't had a good TE in 10 years...
