A good indicator of the money the school has is the University's endowment. Usually, the larger the endowment, the better the academics and overall the Alumni will have better paying jobs.
Says who? You?
Endowment is way, way much more than what you're claiming it is.

Ole Miss and Harvard have roughly the same enrollment.
Harvard's endowment is $32 Billion.
Harvard is an older institution than the United States of America.
Your argument is bad, and you should feel bad.
Again, there are a shitload of factors that go into this. Simply saying "endowment = academics" is way, way too simplistic.

That's the Mary Hawkin's monument. She is the czarina of Madison. She is so controlling about building codes she made AT&T disguise their cell tower in that so she didn't have to look at it when she drives by all that she created
That thing's in Ridgeland, not Madison. Idiot.

You are by far the best Ole Miss poster on the internet, but
No. Tennessee>Mississippi.
Otherwise solid TKO posts as usual.

most people at ole miss are posers, that said i do know some families from nashville that went there and they are very well off. so take it for what its worth. also ole miss has very little side walk fans. imagine bama or lsu with just alums going to games....the crowd would look a lot more like the grove in oxford than the giant melting pot they actually are

I'm talking about Memphis, not Tennessee.
Culturally and aesthetically, Memphis isn't much different than a gigantic Jackson. I mean that in the best and worst way.

Pretty sure the tower is in Ridgeland.

As a Memphian, I'll have to agree the bad parts are the same, but we've got better restaurants etc.

And the suburbs are largely identical.
But yeah, I'd much rather spend a night in Memphis than in Jackson. Eating, drinking, whatever. Also, Memphis has the Grizzlies.

Jackson is the most boring place in the world.
There's literally nothing to do.

I've only seen a bit of the Jackson burbs. Flowood reminds me of Cordova pre City Annex.
We should've had the Titans too. Thanks King Willie.

Dude trust me I lived in Madison for 13 years and was there when it was put up and when it moved.

quote:Don't put any money on it if you bet. Funny part though, before they moved it several hundred feet West and another several hundred feet North, to accommodate the frontage, it had 2 black blocks near the top I suppose to accommodate some of the cell antennas. The NAACP raised hell saying that it looked like a KKK hood. They covered them when they moved it several years ago.
