no one here has been able to refute one thing that I've said about why it's possible that Ole Miss could win against Alabama.

it's the same s*** that they said when we beat their arse and Tuscaloosa and it's the same s*** they said a year later when we beat that arse at our place. It holds no merit and I can't wait for that game to happen. And no last year I was not confident at all I've never been a fan of Shea Patterson. I would absolutely love it if that freshman quarterback turned out to be a bust and you had to go back to Jalen hurts the guy who can't hit the broadside of a f****** barn.

We beat them in Oxford first and then in Tuscaloosa the following season. Ole Miss is built to compete against Bama. Only our HC is the problem.

man they can't stand that I bet you they beat their children and their wife at night so badly I almost feel f****** sorry for them.

Such f****** trash. they hate black people yet they root for them on their teams it's like a catch-22 for them.

I love it when nothing but three stars like Evan engram and Mike Hilton and Chad Kelly and Jaylin walten end up dominating the roster of 5 stars.

It's all about that Underdog baby.

You do realize Ole Miss hasn’t beaten LSU since 2015? It’s 2018

I'd say around 6 wins.

And then lost 66-3 and are arguably a worse team in 2018.

Bama could have beat Ole Miss by 100 last year. No hyperbole. They legitimately could have beat the rebels by 100 points.

Honest assessment for 2018, Bama and LSU fall in tough spots for OM's schedule. The lack of depth could be a real problem if those 2 teams beat OM up.
Luke should suspend key players for those 2 games and play to win the rest of the season

We "could" win 8 games, sure, but unless our defense improves dramatically over last season, no way will that happen.

We have 3 games that we should be able to mark as W's:
Southern Illinois
Kent State
Louisiana-Monroe

Other games that we should win:
Texas Tech
Vandy

That's 5 wins there. Getting to 6 means we'll beat either MSU or Arkansas.

Realistically, 6-6 is gonna be our ceiling this season.

Yalls WR core and QB are good. But I don’t know if it’s good enough to compete like 2015. That might have been yalls ceiling

Looking at our team:
Offense - WR's and QB we are set. Our OL will be one of the better OL's we've had in some time. RB is gonna be a big question mark on offense. Picking up JUCO transfer Scottie Phillips is a big plus.

Defense - the only good part of this unit is our starting DL. However, any injuries along that front and we could be in trouble. LB's and DB's are a big concern. Last year we couldn't stop a highschool team from running the ball. Unless this area has improved, we're looking at 5 wins.

Special Teams - not enough gets mentioned about this. We're replacing our P and PK this year. I've always felt that a new PK means a 1 game swing.

I'm thinking we go 5-7 or 6-6 this season.

I think the main reason we got beat so poorly last year was that a Patterson and my opinion is highly overrated and I think he was rattled and he was forcing throws when he shouldn't have and I think that the team had not bought in to Matt Lukes coaching I think they felt like everything was over before it could begin.

You lost 66-3

This is not the thread for reality, man. This is a hopes and dreams thread.

In 2013, we were shutout 25-0. In 2014, we won. No difference.

Actually yes, there is a difference of 38 points in those beatings.

Like, last year was more than 2X the beatdown of 2013.

And anybody who watched knows that the 63 point difference was only due to Saban being magnanimous

SAMe with Fayetteville. They NEVER win up here.

Their defense is trash. their RBs are trash. They are one dimensional AF.

In 2013 you were a team full of true freshmen from a Top 5 recruiting class and an innovative head coach. In 2013 you trailed at halftime 9-0. At the end of 3 your trailed 16-0. In 2014 you returned most of that team included a very, very good defense.

In 2017 you were a team with a lame duck interim coach (who you then hired) and the skeleton of that former Top 5 recruiting class. In 2017 you trailed at halftime 35-3. At the end of 3 you trailed 59-3. In 2018 you return some of that team including a very, very bad defense.

But sure, exactly the same.

Ole Miss will probably score some points on Alabama this year. Alabama will score roughly every possession. I'll go with 27-14 at halftime, 55-27 final score.
