That's RebelGator, to my knowledge, GatorReb is a separate poster.

I knew I wasn't that far off.

I guess I'll hold off on calling him a scumbag. But Damn, that's confusing.

Raven Gray Joined AU in 2008 that is well with in 5 years.

Was only there for one season and never played a down.

Lost a lawsuit against Auburn's head athletic trainer alleging poor treatment led to an early termination of his career. Plus his high school coaches and fellow teammates doubted his story and chalked it up to bitterness.

TampaReb, I admire your tenacity in defending your school. But I think it's best for your sanity that you back up and let this go through it's cycle. You're going to run out of excuses and drive yourself crazy

Him not playing a down has no effect on if he took money or if it was true. My point is that just because something was said on tv isn't enough for the NCAA to act they still have to prove it.

We will see what comes of those text messages it's not that clear cut.

It doesn't but the NCAA is less likely to go after a school over a player that never played and was only there for a season.

We're talking about a player who was a star at Ole Miss and whose program is now confirming that the text messages are legitimate.

Good point. Tunsil just has to be quiet as he's out of the program.

Serious question here: Since the person Tunsil was asking money from is still employed by the bears, can the NCAA get his phone and do a text forensic program on it? Can they demand it?

As long as he's employed by the university, he has to comply with their investigation.

You do realize the NCAA doesn't have to prove shite, right? This isn't some legal case; this is a big league that Ole Miss agreed to the rules of in exchange for being able to play other teams in said league. The league itself would be wise to find some proof before levying a harsh penalty but it doesn't NEED to. If the infractions committee wakes up one morning and decides your university is a bunch of shitbirds that they'd rather not deal with, they can tank your arse on a whim. Just look at Penn State.

This is a case of the NCAA pussing out. They should have gotten the Death Penalty. If we're given similar leniency, 3 lost scholarships tops.

The Penn State that dealt with a totally unprecedented situation but once facts came out they pulled back the punishment? There is massive precedent for the Ole Miss infractions

No its fricked up that Tunsil's Mom put this on him to get it paid and the fact that the Rabbit is running a dirty program

I don't have any faith in the NCAA doing anything thing if they don't punish UNC.

Hell UNCs second letter actually got lighter on Football and Basketball. Because I guess it wasn't really a second but a revised first.
