exactly. you cna have a ton of fun in tuscalossa and see a real SEC environment. Auburn is meh and Ole Miss sucks if you don't know anyone and even if you do it's far as hell and the game itself blows

You shut your whore mouth DGD. Auburn is the epitome of college football and southern hospitality. You're just butthurt.

This. It is a blast to go out to the bars the night before and the night of the game too. Their fans are awesome, for the most part. Like I said, it is an awesome trip.

Anytime I went to Bama I stayed with friends in the B'ham suburbs, I never "did" T-Town so to speak
Auburn has the middle of nowhere coolness but not as quaint as The old south of Oxford

Out of those three, I'd say go to Auburn. As great as the Bama fanbase is and as awesome as that stadium is it just doesn't match all the stuff Auburn does. Eagle especially. That's if you're going for the A&M game. OM is a great place to go but it's overrated IMO unless you know a fair few people in the grove. Go to Bama eventually but there's not really the pageantry there you'd hope for. Just a bunch of huge video screens* and crazy but usually somewhat friendly fans.
*The video that they play that the student section goes 'boom' to is awesome. The psychotic S&C coach's part? not so much.

If you are coming to Tuscaloosa, you may already be too late to book a local hotel room. If the Masters Inn says they have a room, there is a reason so just say no thanks. Had 5 Aggies join our tailgate for the LSU weekend this past year. They did not listen and grabbed a room at the Masters Inn.

Is that Tuscaloosa's version of The Kings Inn of Birmingham?

This would probably be the best year to hit up Oxford. God knows you won't be impressed by our football team so we are probably going to overcompensate by being extra nice to our new SEC members to give a good impression.

guys, guys, guys.... yea i ain't flaiming that's just what i think. i have family there, i have been there plenty and Alabama plenty and i saw Ole Miss this year. given the three choices i'd do Bama every time. Auburn is just too small and a little boring. I already said why i say no to Ole Miss and Alabama seems to just have a bit more to it.
AU is still a good time but of all my road trips it is meh, middle of the pack. one of the better away venues to go to though

T Rey's point is valid the reason we never crashed in T-Town was the inability to get a decent room where the action is.

Auburn is the worst road trip in the SEC. Do they allow drinking there. It used to be dry. Alabama would be a great road trip. There's some fine restaurants there. Better start looking for a hotel now. There's a couple near the campus but I'm sure they are booked. Ole Miss is fun too. The Grove is a lot of fun. Better get a room there too soon.
