After letting his feelings known on the topic, sounds like Lane is ready to give up his multi million dollar contract and make way and allow for Ole Miss to blaze a new path toward equality.
Bravo Lane.
Bravo Lane.

"We’re in 2023, and between SEC and Big 12, we have no minority head coaches. …It is ridiculous, when we’re talking about two major conferences right here in this area, and when whatever it is, 80-percent of our players are minority but we have all white coaches. It’s really a system that needs to be fixed.” “To give someone the opportunity to speak in front of the team, to handle media, to handle pregame meal, to handle injury reports, to get out there today to manage the kind of scrimmage… I think was really good for [Nix]...” Kiffin said. "You can’t see how good somebody is until they get a chance to do it. That would be my wish out there to ADs and presidents and universities to understand that, and this is a good example.”

I agree with Lane! Now let’s do how many white RBs, secondary players, LBs, and WRs are in the SEC. Equality for all!!!

You are easily replaceable lane
Don’t forget that
Will that be your comment until any sec job opens
Has ole miss had a black head coach in football?
Has usc?
Has Tennessee?
All places you’ve been
How many minority coordinators have you had in your career?

He's speaking up for his buddy to get a HC gig.

He says all that yet has no coordinators that are minorities. He’s all talk he doesn’t believe what he’s saying if he did he would have coordinators who are black so they can showcase their ability instead he simply puts them in the same roles everyone else does as defensive back, running back, wide receiver and dline coaches

The same buddy who’s been at ole miss since 2018 yet he’s continued to pass up promoting to OC so he can showcase himself?

Coach Lane has done a great job over the years of giving AA men an opportunity at being position coaches.

It’s hilarious that probably the most privileged coach in NFL or college is talking about “opportunities”. He’s gotten an NFL, 2 arguably “blue blood” CFB jobs all on his daddy’s name and stunk it up at all three. He’s done a decent job at FIU and Ole Miss but he needs to have a little self awareness. He’s gotten way more opportunities than any other coach would with his track record both on and off the field. By saying there is some “systemic” problem he would literally be pointing the finger at people like himself and his dad.

He stole this from the Titans coach. Love how he’s acting like he came up with this idea

Lane reminds me every day that I’m so glad his family cucked him into staying at Miss.

Mel tucker just got a 100 million dollar contract for basically having a pulse
I just looked up that 24.3% of college basketball coaches in the country were black in 2022, and isn’t the country roughly 11% black?
seems like they’re getting plenty of opportunities?
shite every lsu coach can be members of the ccp and go by they/them. Just fricking win, baw

Y'all sure are angry on a Sunday morning.

I don’t think anyone is angry. Lane is either an idiot or being disingenuous about the topic. In 2023 I don’t think minorities are struggling to obtain jobs they pursue.
Personally I don’t think he believes a single word he said there and just getting low hanging fruit PR boost
