Norman is a great college town. So is Fayetteville. Each has their positives. Norman has the benefit of a great atmosphere with a short drive to even more great experiences in OKC. There’s nowhere to go outside of Fayetteville.

And don’t ever dog Oxford as a college town - they are the 1% in that department if you’re a purist.

The only thing that’s fun about Oxford is the naive 21 year old chicks. It’s good for a one weekend trip. I wouldn’t want to live there. Funkys, The Library, and Tangos bottomless mimosa Sunday’s once every fall is cool.

This shows how little you know about the conference you’re joining.

.I’ve been to Norman… Y’all have no idea what a proper college town looks like. And don’t ever dog Oxford as a college town - they are the 1% in that department if you’re a purist.

As a Norman resident I will tend to agree with you other than the fact that Norman has done a really good job of keeping the campus area "college towny". It holds up pretty well. The rest of town doesn't hold up too well.

And what is doubly frustrating is your smart arse comment about campus corner. Campus corner is actually vintage old school early 1900s downtown style stock. But as you said, on it's perimeter it has a couple of horrid looking small strip 1960s-1970s malls that they won't get rid of.

And as a traditionalist. Oxford is 1%. Fayetteville is up there two but it is getting too big.
