They do... but I wonder if they actually HAVE to...?

That being said... If OU gets back to the WCWS I am dreading all the complaints about how "unfair" it is for OU to play in OKC all the time...

When the fact of the matter is that there is no other facility in the country that can legitimately host the WCWS other than the one in OKC.

I'm so tired of all the bitching about this that I'd be willing to donate to some other city/university/entity that would be willing to build a 14K softball facility just so we didn't have to hear the complaining anymore.

It's the same argument every year. The men's world series has been held in Omaha since forever. I never see Nebraska there.

Great point

and it isn't like there aren't other baseball stadiums that aren't big to host the event either.

Of course Omaha is probably the only place that has a place that big that doesn't have a pro baseball team to play in the venue.

But if Creighton got good... and went every year... they would be playing in their home park. That'd give all these whiner something to REALLY complain about.

"It’s almost like the team being able to sleep in their own beds during the WS is an advantage"

First of all, they don't stay in their dorms.

Second, how has that worked for Creighton and Nebraska in baseball.

People only complain because they don't want to build a stadium to the level of what is in OKC. Invest, and then you have a legitimate statement

Looks like texas was the biggest choker in actual play. They are always over ranked in all sports.

Final SEC softball standings

8. LSU (-1)
9. Georgia (-1)
10. Mississippi State (+1)
11. Missouri (+3)
12. South Carolina (-2)
13. Ole Miss (—)
14. Auburn (-2)
15. Kentucky (—)

Funny how the smart media forgot OU won the sec last year with a freshman class . Yet picked Texas who has beaten OU one time in a series in 19
Years . Btw OU became the first team ever in the sec to not lose a softball series all season long . With that being said the competition in the sec is second to none . Most road series are tough ones . The sec crowds are great . Wish every school would upgrade their stadiums to seat 4-5 k fans . Seems like every time we play one of you guys your sold out which is great for the teams playing and softball in general . The gap in competition is tightening form OU maybe it’s because OU is so young but maybe it’s just teams are getting smarter and playing to their strengths.

Teams that suprised me this year in a good way Bama and LSU . Bama becuase of their pitching and while usually good they were exceptional for most of the year minus a tough series vs Tenn . LSU isn’t great at many things but they do a lot of things good . They are a better team than their record indicates . That tough schedule toughened them up . We’ll see if the committee rewards them … they do have a lot of losses but me personally think they can play with almost every team in the country . You could add A@M into that same category also just a very consistent team. Texas Florida and Arky are business usual.
Teams that trully disappointed are Kentucky and Auburn for me . Kentucky is getting run ruled series after series and it’s y’all’s vs the others teams bench players. Auburn I really don’t know what to say other than wtf has happened to their softball program . LSU put a thumping on them and it’s like they didn’t even care .

Think the World Series is wide open this year . It will depend on seeding and matchups . Sec tourney is a crap shoot . Not sure some teams are will want to use their best pitching when going up against other World Series teams . You have to limit how many times a school see your better pitchers .

At least Softball doesn't have judges!! OU gymnastics gets a 10 if they don't fall off a device!

Is that how OU was able to beat you in football, basketball, and baseball too?

Nope! After losing to OU in football and Basketball the Coaches were fired. As for baseball, It is a championship hangover and transfers and freshman being unable or unready to play SEC level baseball. (Enjoy this down year in all 3. It will not happen again!)
