UK is a perfect example. We'd be 2 3 or 4 in attendance in every other conference, but get shat on because we're what...11th or 12th in the SEC? Same for recruiting. We finish in the 20-30 range with our recruiting classes every year. Good enough for 12th or 13th in the SEC every year.

Looking at average attendance over the five years before 2020, you would rank:

8th in Big 10
5th in Big 12
5th in ACC
4th in PAC-12

I would also point out that the 5th in Big 12 is after we lost NU and A&M otherwise you would be 7th in attendance.

You might ought to get out of your SEC bubble every once in a while and realize that people do in fact fill stadiums outside the SEC.

Texas is gonna be in for a rude awakening. They'll be having 7-9 win seasons a lot more than they seem to think.

Oklahoma will be successful but they are going to have a lot more 2 and 3 loss seasons than they seem to think.

Both have the resources necessary to compete, but what their fans don't seem to realize is damn well everyone in this conference does.

Just saying, expect an extra loss or two each season that what yall are accustomed to. Because that shite is happening.

And by the same token, you guys can expect an extra loss or two as well. Texas may have been a shitshow on the field, but make no mistake they are talented. When tye fired Mack they were at their lowest point. They brought Strong in to clean house and turn the culture around. He did that part, but just didn't win. Then came Herman and the powers that be realized that his conservative offensive ideology just wasn't a good fit, and would constantly cost us losses due to keeping opponents in games. We've had 12 losses the last 3 years, and 9 of those were within a score. We just need the right leadership in place. The talent is there.

Texas isn't just going to roll over in games like you think.

Oklahoma and Texas play against one other team in that conference that approaches the talent level of their team, the play each other. I certainly think they will be competitive in this conference but there is a good chance they will play a schedule that has 4,5,6 teams that put as much talent on the field as they do. More than likely the rest of the SEC conference schedule they will play will have teams that have more talent than the other 8 teams in the conference they are about to leave.

We have no doubt OU and UT will not roll over. The point is that neither team has played in a conference as cut throat as the SEC.

It is the week after week after week grind of playing SEC teams (even with cupcakes OOC) that we are talking about. One of the reasons why the SEC does so well in the bowl season (and the reason why the SEC has won over half the NC since 2000 along with playing for 3 more titles) is the toughness of the SEC.

UT likes to point out that they might have won the 2009 title if Colt was not injured, yet they forget that the Alabama QB had separated ribs and still played the whole game.

UT and OU will eventually get there, but the comparison of the Big 12 and the SEC is night and day.

You beat a team with 13 starters out. Y'all like to not bring that up with those bragging rights.
