But, really, as good as Tech is in Engineering, how good are they in the other disciplines?
I don't know exact figures...but they only have I think 36 undergraduate majors to choose from at Tech. I think they have a pretty strong public policy and architecture program.

Got MSME from Gatech, but will still cheer for Georgia to smash their face in every year.
SEC brethren > academics
SEC brethren > academics

The athletes all love their Business Admin degrees.

I couldn't disagree more about the negative comments about Tech's campus. I think your comments are more applicable to the campus in the 1970s and 80s. Today, GT's campus is very nice, no longer surrounded by "projects." Atlantic Station is to the North. Across the interstate, Tech has its business campus. Plus, there is significant development on the Westside, with apartments, retail and many restaurants. Tech's green oasis in the middle of the city provides a unique campus environment. I love going to their baseball stadium with the skyline in the background. Also, having large greek houses in the middle of the city is quite unique.

Which is nationally ranked in the top 25 ahead of UGA.

I've only skimmed the thread, but I don't think that the video posted in the beginning is why UGA fans hate Georgia Tech. Tech people are nerdy sure, but from what I understand from people I know who support each school it seems like it's more of a little brother type situation that fuels most of the hatred.

Over 1 million views on Youtube thus far.
GT has no "little brother" syndrome like an NC State or VT or Miss. St. It is an internationally acclaimed Institute of Technology (STEM oriented), not an Ag/land grant school that is envious of the flagship school in the state.

So much fail in this thread, can't believe I missed 11 pages of arguing.
GTs business school is better than UGAs, period. The reason academics gets brought up so much is bc us GT fans have nothing else to brag about it... what can we possibly brag about that is football related other than our more recent national championship?? it is a losing argument and hence why we revert to academics.
The idea of all these sidewalk GT fans is ridiculous, they do not exist. Yes I know that parkjas is a GT fan and that dawgfan24323 has a GT friend at Berry but 2 exceptions is not the norm. I went to GT, I have experienced every game in the last 7 years, sidewalk GT fans are few and far between.
As for the UGA/GT rivalry, it is very personal. I have been to the WLOCP numerous times and while awesome, it is no where near as personal as the rivalry that exists between UGA and GT.

I've been telling people this for years and they don't understand. The absolute, pure hatred in this game is far more than any other game we have, florida included.
For everyone who thinks tech isn't our biggest rival, I tell them just wait until we lose to them again and you'll change your tune.

None of what I said above applies to UGA/GT. The campuses could not be any more different. One is the quintessential college town while one is a major metropolis riddled with gangs, crimes, and vagrants
this is just not true; the gangs, crimes, vagrants part.

Hatred is a good word. The arguments aren't "our football team is better than yours" it is "you are a nerd and i want you to die"

Chris, at some point you have to see they have bunny classes like everyone else.

our business admin program or whatever it's called it most definitely easier than any engineering degree, which is why most athletes take it.
They still have to take a calculus (albeit it is a survey of calc) in that major tho which is something that (UGA for example) athletes do not have to take.

1. You said campus.
2. GT Campus is in Midtown, not downtown. It is surrounded by office buildings and Atlantic Station.
