I'm correcting where I was wrong. Lsu still has played opponents with lower winning percentages and played less teams with winning records to this point and what will be less teams with winning records by the end of the year as well.

FWIW, LSU has not had the opportunity to beat #1 this year.
(well, unless u include the spring game)

Ah, so in this debate 2011 Bama is one of the best teams of the last decade, but in the are they better than OSU debate they have only beaten 3 ranked teams, don't deserve to be in the BCSCG, ect. ect.
Got it.

but we have dominated everyone we played except...there is no 12-10 win over an unranked team at home on our schedule or 26-21 over an unranked team on the road
plus if we do beat you twice, we have to count both of your losses in our loss column even though it was us that caused those losses making yall look like a "worse" team
also LSU never had to chance to play the #1 team in the country because we have held the spot pretty much all year

yeah 2009 bama at least won big games. 2011 Bama hasn't won one big game (just like 2010 bama) and they will finish with 2 losses.

Lsu has played 5 teams currently ranked. With a good shot of one dropping out in the final poll.
11-1 Bama #2 currently
11-2 Oregon # 5 currently
10-2 Arky #6 currently
10-3 Georgia #16 currently
7-5 Auburn #25 currently
9-3 West Virginia #23 currently
Thats 6. Also it is truly 7 because you must count bama twice.

7-6 South Carolina #22 when played
I like how you try to church that one up but dont include our games against florida and MSU who were ranked when we played them.

As it is.. best case scenario, Lsu will have played 9 teams with winning records. That's less than what Bama had to face

Does anyone really need to point out the difference here? Intellectual dishonesty at it finest. Well done sir, well done.

I dont think anyone really thinks this team is as good as 2001 miami, but this team manhandles every team it plays and doesnt have to block field goals to beat the 7-6 peach bowl runnerups

False. LSU will have to beat #1 Bama twice. They are clearly the best team, results and polls be damned.

It's never been about who the best teams were at the end of the season. It's about which two teams had the best body of work and the best resume. Always. Most of the time, the two teams with the best body of work just happen to be the best two teams as well. That's how it goes.
Until this year, apparently.

Regardless, it's already been reported as fact by ESPN: if LSU wins jan 9, they are the greatest college football team ever.

Well, if they are honest with themselves, we play the #1 team, twice, but they like to cherry-pick the stats, like 13.

Would 2011 LSU let 2001 8-4 Boston College drive to 9 yards away from a game winning TD at the end of the game?
